Taormina is dominated by Mount Etna and renowned for its well-preserved Roman amphitheatre which can be viewed on a tour. The magnificent crater and remains of lava streams on Mount Etna can be discovered on another exciting excursion. Your ship then cruises to picture-postcard Sorrento, arguably one of the most beautiful towns in the world. Treasures Of Tuscany Itinerary

Day 1 - UK - Venice (Italy)

Fly from the UK to Venice and embark ship.

Day 2 - Zadar (Croatia)

Dalmatia's capital for more than 1,000 years, Zadar is a remarkably lovely city. The Old Town, separated from the rest of the city on a peninsula some 4km long, is beautiful with marble pedestrian streets replete with Roman ruins, medieval churches, palaces and museums. Discover the treasures of the city on a guided tour, visit the medieval town of Nin and travel to the Royal Vineyards for an enlightening tour and wine tasting, or tour picturesque Sibenik and sample Croatian produce at a welcoming family-owned farm.

Day 3 - Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik is known as the 'Pearl of the Adriatic' and the Old City is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy a train ride between several of the most prestigious wineries in the Konavle Valley with a tasting at each one, or visit the seaside resort town of Cavtat which was once the Ancient Roman City of Epidaurus. Alternatively, there is a bicycle adventure in the Konavle Valley.

Day 4 - Kotor (Montenegro)

The coastal town of Kotor is situated in a secluded part of the Gulf of Kotor. The old port is surrounded by an impressive city wall built by the House of Nemanjicc and a designated UNESCO World Heritage site. Enjoy a drive through the mountains into Montenegro's stunning countryside, take a stroll along the atmospheric streets of Budva's medieval Old Town, or learn about olive oil production on a visit to a family estate.

Day 5 - Corfu (Greece)

Homer wrote about the island of Corfu in his famous Odyssey. Today you can enjoy a visit to the Ambelonas Wine Estate for a delicious meal paired with carefully selected wines, discover some of the island's most spectacular palaces including Achilleion Palace, or board a local boat into the grottos around Paleokastritsa.

Day 6 - Valletta (Malta)

Malta's UNESCO-listed capital is home to the impressive 19th-century Mosta Dome which can be seen from anywhere on the island. Explore Malta's ancient capital, Mdina and watch artisans at work in a handicrafts village, take a ferry across to the scenic island of Gozo with its UNESCO-listed Ggantija Temples, or enjoy a wine tasting at one of Malta's renowned wineries.

Day 7 - Taormina (Sicily)

Taormina is overlooked by Mount Etna and renowned for its well-preserved Roman amphitheatre. Enjoy a tour of Mount Etna during which you'll be able to see the crater and remains of lava streams from the eruptions in 2001 and 2002. Or perhaps join a wine tasting at Villa Michele, or enjoy a visit to the Greek Theatre, the Palazzo Corvaia and the Odeon.

Day 8 - Sorrento (Italy)

Sorrento is arguably one of the most beautiful towns in the world and overlooks the Bay of Naples. Head to the remarkably well-preserved remains of UNESCO-listed Pompeii, take a stroll along the alleyways and beautiful streets of Sorrento's romantic old quarter, or cruise aboard a jetfoil across the Gulf of Naples to the picturesque island of Capri.

Days 9-10 - Livorno

Livorno is the gateway to the Renaissance treasures of Florence and iconic sights of Pisa, which can be visited on shore excursions. Alternatively, head to the city of Lucca with its atmospheric streets or enjoy a wine tasting and visit to Bolgheri. There is also the opportunity to explore the colourful coastal villages of Cinque Terre independently.

Day 11 - Civitavecchia - UK

Disembark ship in Civitavecchia and transfer to the airport for the return flight to the UK.
