Mediterranean Escape Itinerary

Day 1 - UK - Rome (Italy)

Fly from the UK to Rome, a city full of historic treasures including St Peter's Basilica, the Coliseum and the Sistine Chapel. Embark your ship to begin your cruise.

Day 2 - Livorno

Livorno, located in the center of Tuscany, is the gateway to the glory of Renaissance Florence and Pisa. From the 13th to 16th centuries, this era of creative freedom encouraged the genius of Dante, Donatello, Michelangelo, Giotto, Botticelli, da Vinci, and Machiavelli to create some of the world’s most noted masterpieces. Elegant Florence offers the Galleria dell'Accademia, with its iconic masterpiece, Michelangelo’s David. The Uffizi is home to the most renowned art gallery in Italy, with representative works by the titan’s of Renaissance art. Join us for an excursion to Pisa, and tour the city's beautiful and historic Campo dei Miracoli. Nearby Siena captures the spirit of Medieval Italy and Lucca offers the memorable chance to bicycle through the fragrant Tuscan countryside.

Day 3 - Portofino

Portofino is arguably one of the most photographed villages along the Italian Riviera, and has always been frequented by the rich and famous. Perhaps enjoy a cruise to Genoa to see the city's elegant palaces, enjoy a walking tour of Portofino followed by a trip to Santa Margherita, or sail along the Italian Riviera to see secluded bays and tiny fishing villages.

Day 4 - Ajaccio (Corsica)

Ajaccio is situated on the west coast of Corsica and was the birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte. Head into the stunning Vizzavona forest and sample local delicacies, enjoy a wine tasting, or travel to the steep Prunelli Gorges and nearby villages.

Day 5 - Palma de Mallorca (Spain)

Palma de Mallorca has an idyllic landscape of majestic limestone cliffs, turquoise-coloured waters and vast plains planted with almond trees, olive trees and vineyards. Sample some of Palma's finest wines and see some of the city's main sights, or enjoy a vintage train ride in Soller.

Day 6 - Barcelona

Barcelona is a perfect mix of tradition and modernism with Roman ruins, medieval districts and artistic treasures from the 20th century. Some of the greatest artists produced work here, including Picasso, Miró and Gaudí. Tour a winery, or see Barcelona's highlights on a city tour, including the the Sagrada Familia.

Day 7 - Cannes (France)

Explore glamorous ultra-fashionable Cannes, with its majestic hotels, millionaires, movie stars, and mega-yachts in a gem-like setting along the sparkling Mediterranean. Enjoy wine tasting in Provence, or join the walking tour of Saint-Paul-de-Vence.

Day 8 - Monte Carlo (Monaco) - UK

Disembark your ship in Monte Carlo and transfer to the airport for the return flight to the UK.
