Mediterranean Escape Itinerary

Day 1 - UK - Rome (Italy)

Fly from the UK to Rome, a city full of historic treasures including St Peter's Basilica, the Coliseum and the Sistine Chapel. Embark your ship to begin your cruise.

Day 2 - Livorno

Livorno is the gateway to the Renaissance treasures of Florence and iconic sights of Pisa. Enjoy a trip to Florence's spectacular monuments including the Piazza del Duomo, Giotto Bell Tower and Franciscan Basilica or discover Tuscan art and history with a walking tour of scenic Lucca. Alternatively, see Pisa's famous Leaning Tower and magnificent Duomo or enjoy a wine tasting and tour of a local wine cellar.

Day 3 - Portofino

Portofino is arguably one of the most photographed villages along the Italian Riviera, and has always been frequented by the rich and famous. Perhaps enjoy a cruise to Genoa to see the city's elegant palaces, enjoy a walking tour of Portofino followed by a trip to Santa Margherita, or sail along the Italian Riviera to see secluded bays and tiny fishing villages.

Day 4 - Ajaccio (Corsica)

Ajaccio is situated on the west coast of Corsica and was the birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte. Head into the stunning Vizzavona forest and sample local delicacies, enjoy a wine tasting, or travel to the steep Prunelli Gorges and nearby villages. Alternatively, join the driving and walking tour of Ajaccio taking in Austerlitz Square and the neo-classical town hall.

Day 5 - Palma de Mallorca (Spain)

Palma de Mallorca has an idyllic landscape of majestic limestone cliffs, turquoise-coloured waters and vast plains planted with almond trees, olive trees and vineyards. Sample some of Palma's finest wines and see some of the city's main sights, visit a local pearl factory to watch artisans at work, or enjoy a vintage train ride in Soller.

Day 6 - Barcelona

Barcelona is a perfect mix of tradition and modernism with Roman ruins, medieval districts and artistic treasures from the 20th century. Some of the greatest artists produced work here, including Picasso, Miró and Gaudí. Enjoy a private tour of the historical Gran Theater Liceu, visit a chocolate factory and tour a winery, or see Barcelona's highlights on a city tour, including the Cathedral of Santa Eulalia.

Day 7 - Toulon (France)

During your time in Toulon, head to the beautiful village of Bormes les Mimosas, discover France's oldest city Marseille, or travel through the stunning Provence countryside to the historic town of Aix en Provence. Alternatively, explore Cassis with its stunning harbour lined with pastel-coloured houses.

Day 8 - Monte Carlo (Monaco) - UK

Disembark your ship in Monte Carlo and transfer to the airport for the return flight to the UK.
