Day 1 - Athens (Greece)

Embark Le Lyrial in the ancient city of Athens.

Day 2 - Crossing the Corinth Canal - Itea

The Corinth Canal cuts through the Isthmus of Corinth, turning the Peloponnese into an island as it separates the region from the Greek mainland. Navigate along the narrow strip of water encased between tall, ochre cliffs. Arrive in the small Greek town of Itea this afternoon. Stroll along the charming cobblestone quays or perhaps visit the Delpihi Sanctuary, a UNESCO World Heritage site with ancient ruins surrounded by steep mountains.

Day 3 - Paxi

Paxi Island is one of the Ionian islands’ best kept secrets, only reachable by boat. Explore the lovely port of Gaios with its colourful houses and relax by the crystal-clear waters of Lakka Bay. The climb into a caïque and journey to the little island of Agios Nikolaus to see the Venetian fort.

Day 4 - Otranto (Italy)

The seaside town of Otranto has a quaint old centre with little streets and historic monuments such as the Cathedral with its magnificent 12th century ornamental mosaic tiling.

Day 5 - Bari

The town of Bari has a rich past as the Saracens, Byzantines, Normans and Swabians have each left a trace here over the centuries. Stroll along the minuscule streets in Bari Vecchia, the historic centre, where you will find small churches and monuments from bygone eras.

Day 6 - Kotor (Montenegro)

Kotor’s magnificent Venetian ramparts make an amazing sight as you approach by sea. Discover the well-preserved Old City of Kotor with building typical of the Middle Ages and medieval architecture, wander through labyrinthine marbled lanes and hidden piazzas and perhaps try the authentic goulash, served in most cafes.

Day 7 - Split (Croatia)

The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Split is renowned for its variety of archaeological, historical and cultural monuments - the Roman Diocletian's Palace is at the heart of the town, with thriving markets, shops and cafés inside its walls.

Day 8 - Ancona (Italy)

The ancient city of Ancona has a long, fascinating history. It was founded by the Greeks in 390 BC and was conquered by Julius Caesar in 49 BC. Discover the city’s highlights, such as the cathedral dedicated to Judas Cyriacus and its façade made of white and pink marble, the Arch of Trajan, which is considered to be the port’s main embellishment, or the 15th century mansion where the painter Raphael was born and raised.

Day 9 - Ravenna

Experience Roman and Byzantine cultures in the city of Ravenna. Explore the city's many religious buildings and its abundance of classical mosaics.

Day 10 - Venice

Disembark Le Lyrial in Venice.
