Ajaccio is the birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte and has a rich and historical past. There is also the chance to visit the Calanques de Piana and Porto, a jewel of Corsica.
Cruise on to Bonifacio where stone homes perch on the cliffs high above the waves, and perhaps join an optional excursion to the nature reserve of the Archipelago of Lavezzi. Explore Porto Vecchio, an old town which is home to the ruins of a 16th-century citadel and a picturesque marina, and relax on the beautiful beaches. From Bastia there is the chance to visit Cap Corse, a 25-mile long promontory with several attractive fishing villages, stunning coastline and sandy beaches, whilst L'Ile Rousse is the gateway to Calvi.

Day 1 - Nice
Embark La Belle des Oceans in Nice.
Day 2 - Ajaccio
The ship will begin to cruise to Corsica. In the afternoon, there are two optional excursions - Ajaccio and the Îles Sanguinaires, and free time in the picturesque fishing port of Cargèse. Tonight’s meal and entertainment will have genuine Corsican flair.
Day 3 - Ajaccio - The Calanques de Piana
Enjoy an optional excursion - a visit to the Maison Bonaparte, a national museum. This afternoon, choose from three options. There is the sights and scents of Corsica tour or an afternoon at Mare E Sol. Alternatively, set off for an optional full day excursion to the Calanques de Piana (including lunch). These sheer cliffs and rock sculptures seem to jet up from the water and radiate a red hue along the coastline. Then discover Porto, a jewel of Corsica. Cruise to Bonifacio.
Day 4 - Bonifacio
This morning set out on an optional guided tour of Bonifacio. Bonifacio is rich in history and has a thousand-year-old fortress. The descent (and subsequent ascent) of King of Aragon’s Stairway will provide some of the best views on the trip (187 steps). Enjoy an afternoon at leisure or join an optional excursion to the nature reserve on the Archipelago of Lavezzi. The islands are scattered with sculpted granite boulders and impressive cliffs. In the evening, have dinner at a traditional inn in the heart of the Corsican inland. We’ll be welcomed by the fireplace or under the immense cork oat trees by the owners, who will explain the history of the island to us. Cruise towards Porto Vecchio.
Day 5 - Porto Vecchio
This morning there is an optional guided tour of Porto Vecchio. The old town includes the ruins of a 16th-century citadel and gorgeous views of the marina. OR spend some free time on your own and head to one of the beautiful island beaches. The afternoon will be spent cruising to Bastia.
Day 6 - Bastia
Join an optional excursion to Cap Corse (including lunch). Located to the north of Bastia and Saint-Florent, Cap Corse is a 25-mile long promontory with several attractive fishing villages, a gorgeous coastline, and a couple of good beaches. We’ll enjoy a tasting of local wine, cold-cuts, and cheese before returning on board to cruise towards L'Ile Rousse.
Day 7 - L'Ile Rousse
This morning join an optional tour of Calvi and its citadel, or discover the old villages in the Balagna Region during an optional excursion. Then spend the afternoon crossing the Mediterranean to Nice and say goodbye to Corsica.
Day 8 - Nice
Disembark La Belle des Oceans after breakfast.
