Iceland’s geysers, hot springs, waterfalls, glaciers and black-sand beaches can be explored on this fascinating cruise. The summer months are the perfect time to sight humpback whales, orcas and dolphins.

Discover the extraordinary Godafoss Waterfall on an optional excursion from Akureyri before sailing to the picturesque fishing town of Siglufjordur, close to the Arctic Circle. From Isafjordur perhaps explore the nearby natural history museum then stop by the magnificent Dynjandi Waterfalls and visit the unique Sea Monster Museum in Bildudadur.

An optional excursion from Akranes uncovers the superb Deildartunguhver hot spring and two beautiful waterfalls. Cruise to the Icelandic capital of Reykjavik where an overnight stop allows ample time to the see the sights.

Land of Fire and Ice Itinerary

Day 1 - UK - Akureyri (Iceland)

Fly from the UK and embark Panorama in Akureyri. Perhaps enjoy the optional afternoon walking excursion around the town.

Day 2 - Akureyri - Husavik

Husavik on Iceland's north coast has a magnificent wooden church, known as Husavikurkirkja and is a great place for whale watching. The optional full day excursion to Husavik travels along the Ring Road to the magnificent Godafoss Waterfall, whilst hearing tales from the fascinating Kristni Saga. Overnight in port.

Day 3 - Siglufjordur

Morning cruising to Siglufjordur, a picturesque fishing port, very close to the Arctic Circle, and Iceland's most northern town. It is home to several museums including the Herring Era Museum where you can learn about the fishing industry. In addition, the town hosts a Folk Music Festival every year. Overnight at sea.

Day 4 - Isafjordur

Isafjordur is the largest town in the Westfjords region and situated just below the Arctic Circle. The three roads leading out of the town are all through tunnels. Perhaps take the optional excursion to the Maritime Museum. Overnight in port.

Day 5 - Isafjordur

Perhaps take the optional excursion to Bildudadur in the Westfjords region. Stop by the breathtaking Dynjandi Waterfalls, then explore this village and its Icelandic Sea Monster Museum, where you can hear tales of the sea monsters of Arnarfjordur.

Day 6 - Akranes

Join the optional full day excursion to the truly impressive Deildartunguhver, Europe’s biggest hot spring, and the beautiful Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls. Overnight in port.

Day 7 - Reykjavik

Morning arrival in Reykjavik. Perhaps take the full day optional excursion showcasing Reykjavik and the volcanic Reykjanes Peninsula, Vikingaheimar and geothermal fields of Krysuvik. Overnight in port.

Day 8 - Reykjavik - UK

Disembark Panorama in Reykjavik and transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
