Exploring Mystical Iceland

Day 1-2 - Hamburg (Germany)

Embark MS Fridtjof Nansen in Hamburg. An overnight stay on board gives you plenty of time to explore the city's large parks, botanical gardens and nature reserves.

Day 3 - At Sea

Enjoy the ship's facilities during a relaxing day at sea.

Day 4 - Kristiansand (Norway)

Kristiansand boasts lovely beaches, a charming old town, a bustling fish market and a fascinating local history. Spend the day exploring this spectacular city and admire the natural beauty of the great outdoors.

Day 5 - Lysefjord

Sail into the impressive Lysefjord which is 40 kilometres long and 422 metres deep. Admire the great landscapes and enjoy views of the Preikestolen plateau towers which is 604 metres over the surface of the water.

Day 6 - Geiranger

Geirangerfjord features stunning nature and idyllic villages and is known worldwide for its dramatic landscapes. Take in the outstanding scenery as you sail through this UNESCO-listed area.

Day 7 - At Sea

Enjoy the ship's facilities during a relaxing day at sea.

Day 8 - Seydisfjordur

The traditional Norwegian village of Seydisfjordur showcases colourful Nordic-style wooden houses and handcrafted architecture. Explore this quirky town, join an organised hike or take an optional excursion to Skalanes.

Day 9 - Grimsey (Iceland)

Grímsey is well known for its proximity to the Arctic Circle, which cuts across the island. There will be the chance to step across that line, from North to South.

Day 10 - Akureyri

The lively city of Akureyri is famous for its botanical gardens and pretty traffic lights. Akureyri is close to many of Iceland’s most renowned natural treasures, such as Lake Mývatn and Goðafoss waterfall.

Day 11 - Isafjordur

Stroll around pretty harbour, admire the unique architecture and shop for local handicrafts in this charming town which is surrounded by towering mountains.

Day 12 - Patreksfjordur

Patreksfjordur is a charming yet small settlement on the west coast which offers scenic hiking trails and is close to the amazing waterfall of Dynjandi and Látrabjarg, a renowned site for birdwatching.

Day 13 - Stykkisholmur

Stykkisholmur has beautiful and well-preserved old houses in the town centre and is surrounded by wonderful scenery. Perhaps visit the towns intriguing museums or join an optional excursions to the iconic sites of Snaefellsnes Penninsula.

Day 14 - Heimaey

Heimaey features dramatic and steep sea cliffs, which are well-vegetated and provide a habitat for countless birds, including the charming Puffin.

Day 15 - Reykjavik

Disembark MS Fridtjof Nansen in Reykjavik, Iceland's vibrant capital.
