Greece and Israel Opera Voyage

Day 1 - UK - Piraeus, Athens (Greece)

Fly from the UK to Athens and embark Silver Shadow in Piraeus. Depart this evening around 6pm.

Day 2 - Mykonos

The stunning island of Mykonos was once of of the poorest islands in Greece until tourists flocked to the picturesque fishing island and turned it into a Greek hotspot. Perhaps relax on the exquisite beaches and enjoy a swim in the lovely blue waters, exploring the island on a guided walking tour or enjoy an off-road jeep safari to the hidden corners of Mykonos.

Day 3 - Kusadasi (Turkey)

The highlight of this vibrant resort town is Ephesus, the ruined city and archaeological wonder that has gained the status as Europe’s most complete classical metropolis. Built in the 10th BC, the UNESCO World Heritage Site is a wonder to behold and can be explored in depth on a guided walking tour. Perhaps enjoy a walking tour of Kusadasi's hidden treasures or experience a relaxing round of golf at one of the best golf courses in the Mediterranean.

Day 4 - Patmos (Greece)

Lying beyond the islands of Kalymnos and Lero, this small island is not easy to reach meaning it remains an unspoiled retreat for tourists wanting to get off the beaten track. Patmos features the remarkable Monastery of the Apocalypse, which enshrines the cave where St. John received the Revelation in AD 95. Perhaps embrace the beauty, history and flavours of Patmos on an optional guided walking tour or enjoy a scenic drive which visits many highlights such as Windmills of Chora, Byzantine Monastery of St. John the Divine, Grotto and Church of the Apocalypse, Patmos' peninsulas.

Day 5 - Rhodes

Rhodes is considered as a city of two parts; one is the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the other is the New Town, a modern metropolis. Perhaps enjoy an optional guided walking tour of the Old City with highlights including the Palace of the Grand Masters, Avenue of the Knights and Archaeological Museum. Alternatively, take the opportunity to learn about the art of Greek cuisine with an optional interactive cooking class.

Day 6 - Limassol (Cyprus)

As the wine-making centre of the South Coast, Limassol is a bustling, cosmopolitan town with a vibrant nightlife. Perhaps admire the ancient history and architecture of Cyprus on an optional guided tour of Omodhos, experience the thrill of exploring Cyprus on a quad bike or enjoy a relaxing round of golf at Aphrodite Hills.

Day 7 - Haifa, Tel Aviv Nazareth (Israel)

The lively city of Haifa has previously been compared to San Francisco due to its steep setting on the mountainside. The city is dominated by the Baha'i faith so much so that the most popular landmark is the magnificent golden globe dome of the Baha'i Shrine which is surrounded by stunning garden terraces - a must see when visiting Haifa. Perhaps enjoy a day of golf at Israel's only 18-hole championship course or discover the ancient city of Acre which dates back 4,000 years on an optional guided tour.

Day 8 - Ashdod, Jerusalem (Israel)

Perched on the Mediterranean, the rapidly-growing city of Ashdod is Israel's largest port and the gateway to several of Israels intriguing cities including Jerusalem, Bethlehem and Tel Aviv. Perhaps enjoy an optional tour of Jerusalem which features some of history's most sacred and important sites including the Room of the Last Supper, Tomb of King David and Dormition Abbey. Alternatively, embrace Israel's Old World during an optional guided tour of Tel Aviv, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stay overnight in port.

Day 9 - Ashdod, Jerusalem

Spend a second day exploring Ashdod. Perhaps experience a kibbutz, which is a collective community (gathering of people) in Israel that was traditionally based on agriculture and visit Barkin Winery; one of the best wineries in Israel for a delicious wine tasting.

Day 10 - At Sea

Make the most of the on board amenities and unwind during this day at sea.

Day 11 - Piraeus, Athens (Greece)

Admire the architectural wonders of Athens including the remarkable Parthenon which sits 200 feet above the city and features honey-colour marble columns which rise from a massive limestone base. As well as housing historical landmarks, Athens is a bustling metropolis! Discover the many ancient gems of Athens during an optional picturesque sightseeing tour, admire the worlds finest collection of Greek antiques in the National Archaeological Museum and visit the mighty Acropolis.

Day 12 - Piraeus, Athens - UK

Disembark and transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
