See the stunning island of Rhodes which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with its waterfront, where the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, once stood.

Relax on a visit to the tranquil resort of Agios Nikolaos then cruise on to Chania, on the northwest side of Crete and idyllic Santorini with its white cobblestone streets and famous blue domes.

Classical Greek Isles Itinerary

Day 1 - Athens (Greece)

Embark Azamara Journey in Piraeus.

Day 2 - Mykonos

Explore the picture postcard island of Mykonos with its iconic windmills, whitewashed houses and sandy beaches. Perhaps explore the nearby sacred island of Delos, birthplace of Apollo.

Day 3 - Kusadasi (Ephesus, Turkey)

Kusadasi is the gateway to ancient Ephesus, once the second largest metropolitan area in the Roman Empire. Ephesus was famed for the Temple of Artemis, one of the wonders of the ancient world, the magnificent Library of Celsus and the impressive amphitheatre.

Day 4 - Patmos (Greece)

As you approach Patmos you will see the Monastery of St John, a massive fortress perched on the top of a great hill, surrounded by traditional white-washed houses. The monastery, constructed in the 11th century was built to honour St John the Divine who is said to have based his Book of Revelation from an apocalyptic vision while in Patmos.

Day 5 - Rhodes

The stunning island of Rhodes has a rich and varied history. Lindos in the south of the Island is home to the ancient Acropolis and one of the best beaches on the island, whilst the medieval capital, Rhodes Town, offers something for sightseers and shoppers alike.

Day 6 - Agios Nikolaos

This tranquil resort has several lovely beaches and nearby is the Minoan archaeological site of Gournia. Perhaps take the optional excursions to the island of Spinalonga which was once a leper colony.

Day 7 - Chania

On the northwest side of Crete rests the old Venetian port of Chania, the second largest city on the island. Inhabited since the Neolithic era, Chania is a modern city built over the ruins of the ancient city of Kydonia. There is the chance to see Knossos Palace, home to the legendary labyrinth and Minotaur.

Day 8 - Santorini

Discover the picture postcard island of Santorini with its whitewashed villages that cling to cliff sides and bright blue roofs.

Day 9 - Piraeus

Disembark Azamara Journey in Piraeus.
