The Best of Kamchatka National Geographic Itinerary

Day 1 - Seattle (USA) - Nome (Alaska)

Fly from Seattle to Nome and embark ship.

Day 2-3 - At sea

Enjoy the ship's facilities on relaxing days at sea. Cruise the Bering Strait and look out for migrating Pacific walruses.

Day 4-6 - Chukotka (Russia)

One of the most isolated regions in the world, Chukotka's vast tundra is a riot of colour in summer. The region is home to the Chukchi, one of Eastern Siberia's oldest communities.

Day 7-14 - Kamchatka Peninsula

This UNESCO World Heritage Site is dotted with over 200 volcanoes and stretched between the Sea of Okhotsk and the Bering Sea. The landscape comprises vast forests, islands and rivers fed by inland glaciers. Look out for Kamchatka brown bears, Stellar's sea lions, fur seals, whales and puffins.

Day 15 - Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky - Seoul (South Korea)

Disembark ship in Petropavlovsk.
