Gems of Croatia Itinerary

Day 1 - UK - Dubrovnik (Croatia)

Fly from the UK to Dubrovnik. Spend the afternoon on a guided walk through the unrivalled ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’, the medieval Old Town of Dubrovnik. A guided tour of Dubrovnik’s World Heritage-listed fortress begins at the impressive Pile Gate, which has stood guard at the entry of this unique walled city for centuries. Within the ancient fortifications, wander through narrow limestone alleys and marble paved boulevards to see the grand Gothic-Renaissance Rector’s Palace, the Dominican and Franciscan Monasteries, and the inspiring Sponza Palace. Later, settle into your cabin before a Captain’s Welcome Dinner on board. (D)

Day 2 - Vis

INSIDER EXPERIENCE: On arrival at the Croatian island of Vis, disembark to explore this remote and largely untouched natural beauty during a scenic drive around the island. The island was used as a military base for the Yugoslav army and only opened to tourism in 1989. This long isolation and lack of development is the island’s main attraction and has ensured its untouched beauty. Your ship moors overnight, meaning you can enjoy dinner in one of the local restaurants. (B,L)

Day 3 - Hvar

Enjoy time at leisure in Vis before setting sail for Hvar. On arrival, take a short coach ride across the island to the stunning Old Town of Hvar for a guided walk. Start in the iconic main square, the largest piazza in Dalmatia, then see the cathedral and the Franciscan Monastery. Continue to the Benedictine Convent, where we hear about the aloe lace still produced by the nuns. Experience life like the locals and visit a lively restaurant or tavern on shore for dinner. (B,L)

Day 4 - Split

Arrive in Split today and set out on a guided walk through the town, exploring the Palace of Diocletian. Your ship will moor close to town in the evening, giving you the chance to enjoy dinner in one of the many restaurants located on the picturesque Riva Promenade. (B,L)

Day 5 - Bol

Sail in the morning to the lovely island of Brač. Your destination is Bol, whose main claim to fame is the astonishing Zlatni Rat or‘Golden Cape’, a beach comprised of tiny white pebbles which appears to thrust itself into the turquoise sea like a spearhead; its shape changing according to the vagaries of the wind and waves. Explore the town, notable for its 15th-century Dominican monastery and museum. (B,L)

Day 6 - Korcula

Enjoy free time for a swim before sailing to Korčula, birthplace of Marco Polo. On arrival, take a guided tour through the winding medieval streets. Your ship moors near to the town overnight, meaning you can enjoy dinner in one of the many local restaurants. (B,L)

Day 7 - Dubrovnik

This morning your ship will sail to Dubrovnik, where the afternoon will be at your leisure to explore. Tonight, enjoy a Farewell Dinner on board the Princess Eleganza. (B,L,D)

Day 8 - Dubrovnik - UK

Disembark after breakfast and transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK (B)
