Croatian Island Adventure Itinerary

Day 1 - UK to Dubrovnik

Fly from the UK to Dubrovnik and be transferred to your ship the MV Princess Eleganza. Enjoy free time before settling into your cabin followed by a Captain’s Welcome Dinner on board.

Day 2 - Lopud Island

Spend the morning on a guided walk through the unrivalled ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’, the medieval Old Town of Dubrovnik, departing from the impressive Pile Gate, which has stood guard at the entry of this unique walled city for centuries. Within the ancient fortifications, wander through narrow limestone alleys and marble paved boulevards to see the grand Gothic-Renaissance Rector’s Palace, the Dominican and Franciscan Monasteries, and the inspiring Sponza Palace. This afternoon we sail to the island of Lopud, one of the Elaphiti Islands off the Croatian coast. Just three of the 14 islands are inhabited, including Lopud, which is car-free and well known for its exotic gardens and beautiful beaches. See the 30-meter-high Bell Tower of the 15th-century Franciscan Monastery as you sail into the harbour. Enjoy a walking tour and stunning views from the medieval fortress followed by free time to explore. Why not take a short walk or hire a golf cart and head to the famous Sunj beach for a relaxing afternoon swim? The fish fry at Sunj beach may entice you to stay on for dinner this evening.

Day 3 - Korčula

Enjoy free time and maybe a swim before sailing to Korcula, birthplace of Marco Polo. On arrival, take a guided tour through the winding medieval streets. Your ship moors on the door step of the city, meaning you can enjoy a delicious dinner in one of the many local restaurants all within an easy stroll.

Day 4 - Vis Island

On arrival at the Croatian island of Vis, disembark to explore this remote and largely untouched natural beauty during a scenic drive around the island. The island was used as a military base for the Yugoslav army and only opened to tourism in 1989. This long isolation and lack of development is the island’s main attraction and has ensured its untouched beauty. Your ship moors overnight, meaning you can enjoy dinner in one of the local restaurants with time to explore independently or to take a swim from the beach.

Day 5 - Hvar Island

Enjoy time at leisure in Vis this morning before setting sail. On arrival in Hvar, take a short coach ride across the island to the stunning Old Town of Hvar for a guided walk. Start in the iconic main square, the largest piazza in Dalmatia, then see the cathedral and the Franciscan Monastery. Continue to the Benedictine Convent, where we hear about the aloe lace still produced by the nuns. Experience life like the locals and visit a lively restaurant or tavern on shore for dinner.

Day 6 - Brač Island

Sail in the morning to the lovely island of Brac. Your destination is Bol, whose main claim to fame is the astonishing Zlatni Rat or ‘Golden Cape’, a beach comprised of tiny white pebbles which appears to thrust itself into the turquoise sea like a spearhead; its shape changing according to the vagaries of the wind and waves. Explore the town, notable for its 15th-century Dominican monastery and museum.

Day 7 - Split

Arrive in Split today and set out on a guided walk through the town, exploring the Palace of Diocletian located next to the picturesque Riva Promenade. Tonight, enjoy a Farewell Dinner on board the Princess Eleganza.

Day 8 - Split to UK

Your journey draws to its conclusion after enjoying breakfast this morning, with a transfer to the airport for your return flight home to the UK.
