Croatia Intensive Voyage

Day 1 - Venice (Italy)

Embark your ship in Venice.

Day 2 - Rijeka (Croatia)

Rijeka is a fascinating place to explore. It has a long history which can be seen in Trsat Castle and the Maritime and History Museum, housed in the opulent former palace of the Austro-Hungarian governor. The Governor’s Palace also offers amazing views of the harbour. Perhaps climb the 16th century Petar Kruzic Stairway to the top of Trsat hill to visit the Church of Our Lady before hopping on a ferry and heading to the islands around the bay. Visit Kirk and cycle around this charming island and then enjoy a relaxing stop at Baska Beach which boasts beautiful sand and crystal clear water.

Day 3 - Zadar - Split

Zadar, perched on the Adriatic Sea in Croatia, is a historic city with quaint cobblestone streets and white stone buildings. Meander through the pedestrian-only Old Town with its fortified city walls and gates or head to Krka and Plitvice national parks to admire the natural beauty. Take the opportunity to sample Maraschino, a traditional liqueur made from marasca cherries and produced in Zadar distilleries since the 16th century before setting sail along the Croatia Inside Passage this afternoon. Arrive in Split this evening where you will spend the night.

Day 4 - Split

Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Diocletian’s Palace, which dates back to the 4th century. Spend time at leisure strolling through the charming cobblestone streets and along the Riva, the spectacular white marble-esque promenade.

Day 5 - Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik, known as the 'Pearl of the Adriatic', is considered the most beautiful city in Croatia with well-preserved medieval palaces and city walls. Spend the day exploring this UNESCO Heritage site which showcases fascinating squares and centuries-old red-roofed buildings. Walk the walls for a spectacular view of the city.

Day 6 - Hvar

The heavenly scent of lavender perfumes the air in the fields and valleys around the island of Hvar. Idyllically located just off the Dalmatian coast, the island and the little port named after it have been a favourite getaway ever since the time of the Romans, the Byzantines, the Venetians and even Austro-Hungarian royalty. It is known as the “Sunniest Place in Europe” as it receives an average of 7.7 hours of sunshine per day.

Day 7 - 8 - Venice (Italy)

Spend the day discovering Venice, one of the world's most enchanting cities. Tour the city’s cobblestone streets and overarching bridges, or take to the water and explore the canals on a water taxi or gondola. The following morning, enjoy a final breakfast on board before disembarking ship in Venice.
