Panama and Costa Rica Special Offer

Explore diverse Panama and take the opportunity to visit some of Costa Rica's most stunning nature reserves.

Perhaps explore picturesque Gatun Lake, San Lorenzo, and the Canal Museum, or head to Miraflores Locks and Casco Viejo. Panorama then cruises to Playa Muerto, gateway to the incredible Darrien National Park, home to Embera Indians.

Enjoy a swim stop just off Granito de Oro and a BBQ on deck, before arriving at UNESCO-listed Coiba Island, where there is a walking tour with the ship's naturalist.

From Drake Bay, perhaps join the visit to the stunning Corcovado National Park which covers almost a third of the Osa Peninsula. It is home to an abundance of wildlife, including red-eyed tree frogs, tapirs and harpy eagles. Panorama then sails to picturesque Quepos, from where you can explore the breathtaking Manuel Antonio Reserve.

On 10 Jan and 6, 20 Mar 2020 departures, guests can enjoy a transit of the famous Panama Canal and disembark at Colon 2000.

Panama Canal and Costa Rica Itinerary

Day 1 - UK - Flamenco Marina (Panama City)

Overnight flight from the UK to Panama City.

Day 2 - Flamenco Marina

Embark Panorama around 3pm. Overnight in port.

Day 3 - Flamenco Marina

This morning, there is an optional excursion taking in Gatun Lake plus San Lorenzo and Canal Museum, or Miraflores Locks, Casco Viejo and Canal Museum.

Day 4 - Playa Muerto

Perhaps take the optional excursion to the picturesque Darrien National Park. You'll be welcomed by Embera Indians who are renowned for their handicrafts and traditions. Panorama sests sail for Coiba Island later. Overnight at sea.

Day 5 - Granito de Oro - Coiba island

Midday arrival in Granito de Oro for swimming and snorkelling. Enjoy a BBQ on deck before continuing cruising to UNESCO-listed Coiba Island. On arrival, join the afternoon walking tour with the Ship Naturalist taking in the forest and wildlife. There will be free time for swimming and snorkelling. This afternoon, set sail for Golfito. Overnight at sea.

Day 6 - Golfito - Drake Bay

Arrive in Golfito and clear immigration. Then perhaps join the optional excursion to La Gamba Field Station and Piedra Blancas National Park. Later afternoon departure for Drake Bay. On arrival, moor overnight.

Day 7 - Drake Bay - Quepos

Today there is an optional tour of the Corcovado National Park, a tropical rainforest that takes covers almost a third of the Osa Peninsula. Keep an eye out for red-eyed tree frogs, tapirs and harpy eagles, to name but a few. Evening arrival in Quepos. Moor overnight.

Day 8 - Quepos - Playa Biesanz

Take the optional excursion to the Manuel Antonio Reserve. After lunch, there is an optional Forest Canopy excursion. Afternoon cruising to Playa Biesanz where excursion participants will rejoin the ship. On arrival, enjoy a relaxing swim. Tropical Farewell dinner this evening, before cruising to Puerto Caldera.

Day 9 - Puerto Caldera - UK

Disembark Panorama in Puerto Caldera and transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.

Day 10 - UK

Arrive back in the UK.

The cruise itinerary is subject to weather conditions and may be modified at the captains discretion. The reverse itinerary varies slightly as it includes a visit to Iguana Island.
