Fly from the UK and arrive in the capital of Tenerife, the largest of Spain’s Canary Islands. You’ll be met and transferred to your ship. Settle in and enjoy Tenerife’s dramatic harbour setting as you dine on board tonight.

Day 2
San Sebastian de la Gomera
Relish views of La Gomera, a tiny island neighbouring Tenerife. The day is yours at leisure to explore. Perhaps, set out on an optional excursion to discover the highlights of the island, including its beautiful capital, San Sebastián de La Gomera. Alternatively, you may wish to embark on a hike in Garajonay National Park. This evening, join your fellow travellers for a Gala Welcome Dinner.

Day 3
El Hierro Island
Today, arrive at El Hierro, the smallest of the Canary Islands with a natural bounty way beyond its size. Head off into the island’s lava sculpted scenery with a guide. As you discover quaint villages and sample local wine, you’ll feel like you’ve stumbled across a land lost in time. Pay a visit to the Guinea Ecomuseum to see traditional lava-rock houses and a sanctuary protecting the island’s giant lizard population. This afternoon, relax on board or perhaps join an optional tour of the town.

Day 4
Santa Cruz de La Palma
This morning, enjoy a day at leisure to discover La Palma’s brooding volcanic beauty. You may choose to set off on an optional tour in the town of El Paso and stroll through its cobbled streets, before a visit to the local silk museum. Or, head out on an optional guided trek through the towering pines of the El Pilar region. Later, perhaps take an optional shuttle to the city of Los Llanos de Aridane to explore at your own pace.

Day 5
Funchal, Madeira
Wake to the ocean lapping at your ship and enjoy time aboard this morning. After lunch, the garden isle of Madeira swings into view. This afternoon is set aside to explore its capital Funchal, where terracotta-topped buildings cascade down lush green hills. Join a guide to discover the city during a leisurely tour of its historic district, impressive quintas and street art. With an overnight stay in Funchal, simply relax and delight in this stunning location.

Day 6
Funchal, Madeira
Enjoy a full day at leisure in Funchal today. You may wish to embark on an optional tour to see Funchal from above on a cable car ride to Monte, where you’ll explore the district’s elegant palace and garden paradise. Or, perhaps join a tasting tour to sample the island’s specialities at the farmers’ market, Mercado dos Lavradores.

Day 7
Porto Santo Island
Although this island is one of several constituting the archipelago of Madeira, Porto Santo and Madeira couldn’t be more different. Rolling dunes and endless stretches of golden sand frame Porto Santo. Disembark this morning for a guided tour. Admire the views from Pico do Castelo and be treated to a tasting of Porto Santo wine, which the island is known for. This evening, join your fellow travellers for a Captain’s Farewell Dinner.

Day 9
Lisbon
Discover Portugal’s bustling capital of Lisbon with a guide. Take in the historic square, Praça do Comércio and the city’s grand boulevards, including the Avenida da República. With the rest of the afternoon to yourself, perhaps track down Lisbon’s maritime past or savour the city’s famous egg-custard tarts. Alternatively, join one of the optional tours on offer. Tonight, a Farewell Dinner aboard your ship rounds off the day and your Atlantic adventure.

Porto
Enjoy a relaxing morning on board before arriving in the captivating coastal city of Porto. Set out on a guided tour before an exciting Insider Experience.

The time has come to depart Portugal. After breakfast, disembark and transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
