Day 1 - Portland (USA)

Embark Victory I in Portland.

Day 2 - At sea

Enjoy the ship's facilities on a relaxing day at sea.

Day 3 - Halifax (Canada)

Visit the eight-pointed-star Citadel, which was constructed in 1856 to defend Halifax from invading forces. The Halifax Museum of the Atlantic offers a glimpse into Nova Scotia’s maritime heritage and World War II history. Drive past the Fairlawn Cemetery and hear how 100 of the Titanic victims were buried in this city then head to the lovely village of Peggy’s Cove with its quaint colourful homes and iconic Peggy’s Cove lighthouse. After lunch in a local restaurant there is time at leisure to explore the community.

Day 4 - At sea

Day 5 - Charlottetown

Charlottetown is a perfect example of traditional Canadian charm and played an important role in early Canadian history. A tour this morning follows the route of the delegates who took part in the conference which led to the Confederation of Canada. Then drive along the north shore of Prince Edward Island to Cavendish Bay and Prince Edward Island National Park. There is the opportunity to tour the farmstead that inspired the novel Anne of Green Gables and other settings from the book including the Haunted Woods and Lover’s Lanes. Spend time at leisure strolling along the bay or exploring the city centre.

Day 6 - At sea

Day 7 - Tadoussac

Tadoussac is situated at the confluence of the Saguenay and Saint Lawrence Rivers and is a whale watcher’s paradise. Between May and October up to 13 species of cetaceans make their way upriver from the Atlantic Ocean to the salty rich waters of the St Lawrence River. Join a whale-watching boat and its expert crew for the chance to spot blue whales and humpback whales in the krill-rich waters.

Day 8 - Quebec City

On the St Lawrence River, Quebec is Canada's most historic and beautiful city. Travel to the Plains of Abraham where a historic battle took place and take a step back in time to the early days of Quebec at Place Royale which was bombarded in 1759 from across the river as fire ships were dispatched towards the port. Drive out to the magnificent Montmorency Falls where a cable car to the top provides amazing views out to the Ile d’Orléans. This afternoon there is free time to explore; perhaps take the funicular railway to the famous Château Frontenac.

Day 9 - Montreal

One of Canada’s most exciting cities, Montreal has a strong French heritage. The city tour includes a walking tour of Old Montreal and a visit to the Notre Dame Basilica. Drive to the top of Mont Royal for panoramic views of the city and St Lawrence river then visit one of the world’s largest Botanical Gardens.

Day 10 - Cruising the St Lawrence River

Enjoy the ship's facilities on a relaxing day cruising along the St Lawrence River and Lake Ontario.

Day 11 - Toronto

Disembark Victory I in Toronto.
