In Milwaukee follow in the footsteps of the first settlers, trappers and Native Americans then sail across Lake Michigan to see the well-preserved Victorian buildings on Mackinac Island. On Lake Huron, white cliffs plunge into the sapphire waters of the lake and the spectacular scenery can be explored on a Zodiac trip.

Sail the canal connecting Lake Erie to Lake Ontario where there is the chance to see the impressive Niagara Falls from Port Colborne. On the shores of Lake Ontario is the cosmopolitan city of Toronto.

Great Lakes of North America Itinerary

Day 1 - Milwaukee (USA)

Embark ship in Milwaukee.

Day 2 - Lake Michigan - Mackinac Island

Sail across Lake Michigan, with its stunning landscapes of green forests, golden sandy beaches and emerald waters. See the Victorian-style buildings and elegant horse-drawn carriages on Mackinac Island.

Day 3 - Sault Ste Marie

The waterfront town of Sault Ste Marie is home to a range of historic attractions including the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum, Water Street and the Tower of History.

Day 4 - Little Current

From Little Current there is the chance to explore the Cup and Saucer hiking trail on Manitoulin Island.

Days 5 - Parry Sound - Lake Huron

The beautiful town of Parry Sound is home to many beautiful beaches, parks and trails which take advantage of the stunning views over Lake Huron.

Day 6 - St Clair River

Forming a natural border between the United States and Canada, St Clair River is a significant part of the Great Lakes Waterway. Sail past the skyscrapers of the motor city of Detroit.

Day 7 - Lake Erie - Port Colborne (Canada)

Lake Erie's shallow waters are ideal for fishing and the shoreline is home to many migratory birds.

Day 8 - Toronto

Disembark ship in Toronto.
