Day 1 - UK - Montreal, Quebec (Canada)
Embark your ship in Montreal and spend the afternoon settling in or exploring the vibrant city of Montreal. Perhaps join the guided walking tour and discover Montreal's Old Town with its quaint cobblestone streets, galleries and boutique stores. After admiring the work of the local artisans, visit the colourful Bonsecours Market before finishing the tour at the remarkable Notre-Dame Basilica.
Day 2 - Montreal, Quebec
Spend a second day exploring Montreal. Perhaps take the opportunity to enjoy an invigorating bicycle excursion or alternatively, sample the local delicacies of Montreal on an enriching culinary tour.
Day 3 - Quebec City
Admire the magnificent Château Frontenac which sits at the very top of the city, step back in time as you visit the Place Royale and marvel at the distinctive white stone buildings dating to the early 17th century on a guided walking tour. Alternatively, you may want to pay a visit to the First Nations Village and immerse yourself in the history and culture if the Huron-Wendat people or take the opportunity to soar over Quebec city and the St. Lawrence River on a thrilling memorable ride.
Day 4 - Saguenay, Quebec
Today you will visit the quintessential Quebecois town of Saguenay, a town that is proud of its rural roots and was built on a rich fur-trading and timber industry. Enjoy a lively stage show which tells the story of Saguenay's growth through storytelling, dance and song. Alternatively, take the opportunity to cruise into the remarkable Saguenay Fjord on a high-speed Zodiac or enjoy a tour and tasting at the Boivin cheese factory on an exiting foodie experience.
Day 5 - At Sea
Spend the day cruising the scenic St. Lawrence River; a gateway to the Great Lakes of the Midwest from the Atlantic Ocean. Perhaps attend one of the insightful on-board lectures before enjoying cocktails in the Explorers' Lounge this evening.
Day 6 - Gaspé, Quebec
Arrive in the small town of Gaspé; a place of stunning natural beauty and enjoy a scenic drive to the Forillon National Park. Witness geological formations that date back more than 450 million years, admire breath-taking views and learn about how man-kind once co-existed with the natural environment before visiting the home of the Blanchette family. Here you will learn about life during the 19th century. There will then be free time to explore independently before returning to the ship. Alternatively, take the opportunity to head out into the blue waters of the Gulf of St. Lawrence and witness several different species of whale on a whale watching expedition.
Day 7 - At Sea
Spend the day cruising the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
Day 8 - Halifax, Nova Scotia
Halifax is the bustling capital of Nova Scotia and is known for being the site of the first permanent European Settlement in the region. See the historic treasures and fascinating landmarks of Halifax including the hilltop Fort George, named for King George II of Great Britain, the magnificent St. Mary’s Basilica on a hop-on/hop-off bus tour. Alternatively, take a coastal drive to the quaint fishing village of Peggy's Cove or join a Segway tour.
Day 9 - At Sea
Sail along the beautiful coasts of Nova Scotia and Maine, crossing the Gulf of Maine.
Day 10 - Boston, Massachusetts (USA)
Arrive in Boston, the birthplace of the American Revolution and a city bursting with history and culture. Enjoy a guided panoramic tour of Boston with visits to Copley Square and the elegant Trinity Church, Boston's Public Library which happens to be the nation's first book lender and the delightful public gardens. The tour will continue to the Old North Church where Paul Revere hung his famous lantern to signal the coming of the redcoat, the Old South Meeting House, the rallying point from where Samuel Adams sparked the Boston Tea Party and will finish at the famous Faneuil Hall Marketplace. Alternatively, explore the major sites of the American Revolution on an interesting full-day tour or immerse yourself in the local culture on an interactive culinary adventure.
Day 11 - Boston, Massachusetts
After staying overnight in Boston, spend your morning further exploring this fascinating city. Perhaps take the opportunity to walk the famous Freedom Trail or pay a visit to the Salem Witch Museum to uncover the mysteries of the Salem Witch trials.
Day 12 - New York
Admire the spectacular view of the famous Statue of Liberty as you cruise into New York this morning. Join the half-day panoramic tour passing Rockefeller Center, known as “30 Rock”; Times Square and the Theater District surrounding Broadway; the Empire State Building; and the glorious St. Patrick’s Cathedral. This tour takes you through the various neighbourhoods of Manhattan including trendy Greenwich Village, SoHo, the bustling Financial District and posh Fifth Avenue. Alternatively, pay a visit to the 9/11 Memorial an Museum to honour the lives of those lost in the 9/11 attacks or spend the evening marvelling at New York's iconic skyline as you sip a cocktail in one of the stylish rooftop bars.
Day 13 - New York - UK
After a delicious breakfast, disembark your ship in New York city.
Day 14 - UK
Arrive in the UK.
