Exclusive pictures of Le Soleal on her inaugural sailing

Thursday 4th July 2013

Le Soleal, the new luxury expedition ship owned by French cruise company Compagnie du Ponant, set sail from Venice on her maiden voyage on Monday.

On Tuesday, she arrived in Dubrovnik, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the Pearl of the Adriatic and moored next to the company's superb mega yacht L’Austral. See our exclusive pictures of the two ships together below.

Le Soleal will visit the historic city of Palermo on Sicily, the charming town of Carloforte on Sardinia with its dramatic white cliffs and Mahon, the capital of Menorca, before cruising to the vibrant city of Barcelona.

Le Soleal boasts contemporary décor and a modern colour scheme combining shades of grey and white. White Corian counters in the lobby contrast with the warmth of the leather and the fantastic sculpture in the Atrium takes its inspiration from the sea.

With 132 outside cabins with balconies, a modern lounge bar and superb gourmet cuisine in the restaurant, Le Soleal is a fantastic addition to the Compagnie du Ponant fleet.
