First cruise departure from Bristol for 20 years

Thurs 14 Feb 2013

The 700 passenger cruise ship Discovery sails out of Bristol Avonmouth on Thursday 28 February, the first time a cruise ship has used the port for 20 years.

The ship will operate 9 cruise departures from Avonmouth this year and is scheduled to operate another 9 departures in 2014. There are some special offer prices currently available.

Discovery also offers departures from other regional ports including Hull, Edinburgh Leith, Newcastle, Liverpool, Greenock and Harwich on a range of cruises to the Norwegian fjords, Canary Islands, Round Britain and to Iberia. Marco Polo, the line's other ship, offers similar cruises from London Tilbury and a winter cruise to the Amazon River.
