Star Clippers set to explore Indonesia
Star Clippers have just launched their fantastic range of Summer 2017 cruises on authentic tall ships Star Clipper, Star Flyer and Royal Clipper. As well as the popular cruises around the Greek Islands and Turkish Coast, there are some exciting new additions.
With Star Clipper relocating to Thailand this winter, Star Clippers Cruises are to further enhance their Far East Asia sailings in 2017 with a range of itineraries in and around Indonesia. Star Clippers tall ships provide an insight into a bygone era of sailing, and these exciting journeys, which will commence from May 2017, will be reminiscent of adventures embarked upon by Robinson Crusoe, with port calls to many tiny jungle-and-sand islands. The small size of Star Clipper provides a unique opportunity to visit smaller islands that larger ships are unable to reach. As well as visiting remote islands and cultural landmarks, passengers onboard these cruises will be able to delve into Hindi culture and explore bustling streets and exotic markets. Following the tradition of Star Clippers itineraries, passengers will be able to try snorkelling, kayaking and canoeing off many of the breathtaking island beaches.
In May and October, join Star Clipper on a 14-night cruise between Singapore and Benoa in Bali, visiting many of the Indonesian Islands including Semarang on the island of Java, Pilau Seribu on Thousand Islands and Lombok. There are also 7-night Eastbound and Westbound cruises from Benoa and back for a taste of Indonesia and a 10-night voyage which takes in the Komodo National Park.
Royal Clipper will make its transatlantic voyage from Barbados to Lisbon in April before cruising the Western Mediterranean including the French Riviera, with a special itinerary taking in the Monaco Grand Prix, the Amalfi Coast and Sicily, and from Rome to Venice along the stunning coasts of Croatia and Montenergo. Star Flyer will cruise across the Atlantic from St Maarten to Malaga before exploring the idyllic Greek Islands and Turkish coast and Spain to Morocco and the Canary Islands.
Star Clippers Marks Silver Anniversary with New Ship
To mark their silver anniversary, Star Clippers have also just announced they will be unveiling their most impressive vessel to date – the Flying Clipper. Scheduled to enter service Winter 2017, this stunning new tall ship will be the largest ship of its kind afloat today and will feature many modern amenities including three swimming pools, a watersports platform and al-fresco bar.
