Exploring Norway in Search of the Northern Lights - Customer Review

Monday 13th May 2013

Wow - what a holiday!

AlesundNorthern Lights

The intrepid Arctic travelers have returned, after a truly memorable and enjoyable cruise experience. The scenery was stunning, the ship exceeded expectations, and we were blessed with a magnificent display of the Northern Lights on two occasions, once when my wife was enjoying the top deck Jacuzzi admiring the stars - how more romantic can you get.

I have only plaudits for you at Blue Water Holidays, and all who helped make this such a wonderful holiday.

Nidaros Cathedral in TrondheimTrollfjord

Your recommendation for the ship Trollfjord was spot on. Our suite was extremely well appointed and laid out- it compared well with Regent and Silversea.

We quickly warmed to the laid backness of our Norwegian hosts, almost as quickly as adjustment to the cost of food and drink. Fortunately we came well stocked with wine and spirits that served us well for pre dinner cabin drinks and after dinner cards.

Northern LightsNorth Cape

It was misty and rained all day in Bergen on the Sunday before departure, and there was a snow storm passing the Northern Cape, otherwise the weather was bright and sunny.

The cruise certainly lived up to its billing, and I am now a Scandinavian convert.

I could on and on as we had so many happy moments. Please accept our heartfelt thanks for allowing us the privilege of holidaying with Blue Water Holidays and Hurtigruten.
