A Day Onboard Crystal Bach
Cruising Specialists, Fay, Jade and Sam, were lucky enough to be invited onboard Crystal Cruises' brand new river ship, Crystal Bach, when she docked in Amsterdam. Read their exclusive review:
The Crystal Bach really is a beautiful vessel and definitely brings 6 star luxury to the river cruise market. The small 110 passenger ship reflects the best of what Crystal does on its ocean vessels – fine dining, exceptional service and tasteful design – and brings it to the European rivers.
From the outside Bach resembles one of the many ships currently on the European rivers, but the inside is a truly different story!
Crystal Bach has been elegantly designed and it actually feels like a high-end hotel. Warming grey and cream tones accentuated with splashes of orange and teal flow throughout the ship - from the glass ceilinged Palm Court lounge to the 55 spacious staterooms.
We were only able to explore a Crystal Suite which had so many facilities such as; fully stocked mini bar and Nespresso coffee machine, personal iPad and wall mounted TV over fireplace, spacious bedroom with king-size or twin beds, walk-in wardrobe complete with two types of robe and slippers the list goes on...
The unique design features can also be found in The Waterside - Bach’s main dining room. Tables have marble tops and can accommodate two to six guests and seating is on plush heavy chairs replicating any up-market restaurant. My favourite feature is the open kitchen which is situated at the back of the dining room, called ‘The Market’. During breakfast and lunch passengers visit the Market when it becomes part-buffet, part made-to-order restaurant.
Lastly I must mention the All-Inclusive Crystal Experience; complimentary fine wines, champagne and premium spirits throughout the cruise, shore excursions, enrichment experiences, gratuities, airport to port transfers, butler service in all cabins. When you step onboard Crystal Bach you really can leave your wallet at home.
