Burma (Myanmar) tipped as the hot new destination for 2013

Friday 8 February 2013

Myanmar (Burma) is the new hot destination for 2013 as travellers seek out 'Asia as it used to be' on a growing number of Burma river cruises and sea voyages.

Capital city Yangon (Rangoon) with its colonial buildings and pagodas is the gateway city. The city of Mandalay, the centre of Burmese culture, and Bagan, renowned for its thousands of temples, may be part of an Ayeyarwady (Irrawaddy) river cruise and stay package.

Tourists can also visit Burma on a sea voyage often including the Malay Peninsula. Blue Water Holidays is offering a cruise holiday from Sri Lanka to Singapore which includes highlights of Burma, Thailand and Malaysia plus an exclusive free excursion from Yangon to Bagan worth £295pp!
