Discover New Caledonia, a remote French territory located in the heart of the South Pacific, and its fascinating Kanak culture.

Board Le Lapérouse in the lively, cosmopolitan city of Auckland then sail to Waitangi in the Bay of Islands for the chance to attend a Maori ceremony. The first port of call in New Caledonia is the tiny tropical island of Kouare Island, where sea turtles nest on the white sandy beaches, then on to Lifou where traditional thatched huts dot the island.

Explore the abundant marine life in Belep's UNESCO-listed lagoon and discover thousands of sea birds on a visit to the mysterious Chesterfield Islands. Zodiac outings and shore visits with the expedition team allow access to remote, rarely-visited islands.
