Day 2 - Sail Dusky Sound and Doubtful Sound

Enjoy the ship's facilities whilst sailing Dusky Sound and Doubtful Sound.

Day 3 - Sail Milford Sound

Beautiful Milford Sound fjord will take your breath away. Located in the Fjordland National Park, majestic cliffs soar out of the dark waters and impressive waterfalls cascade down mountains.

Day 5 - Picton

Arrive in Picton, set in Queen Charlotte Sound which is gateway to New Zealand's largest wine-producing region. There are three optional excursions available. Join the tour which visits the Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre and Forrest Estate, the guided walk along part of the renowned Queen Charlotte Track, or head to Malborough Sands at the top of the South Island.

Day 6 - Wellington

Wellington is New Zealand's compact, cosmopolitan capital, nestled between the harbour and steep, forest-clad hills. The Te Papa museum showcases the history of New Zealand in many visually stunning and thought-provoking ways. Optional excursions are a guided tour taking in the Wellington Botanical Garden, Parliament Buildings and Te Papa Tongarewa, and a visit to Terawhiti Station. Along the way, you'll see Terawhiti Farm, travel through New Zealand's largest wind farm, and see a colony of fur seals.

Day 7 - Napier

Napier grew into a magnificent Art Deco style city after an earthquake in the 1930s. Stroll amongst this extraordinary architectural heritage or perhaps sample some of the best wines from the region, which is famous for its vineyards. Take the optional tour which takes in Cape Kidnappers Station and its gannet colony, one of only two known mainland gannet colonies in the world. Alternatively, perhaps enjoy a Maori experience in the coastal village of Waimarama.

Day 8 - White Island

White Island is an active volcano located in the Bay of Plenty. The island is an important bird area because of its breeding colony of Australasian Gannets. Depending on the volcanic activity and sea state, guests may be able to take a guided walking tour through the crater and around the ruins of the old sulphur mine.

Day 9 - Tauranga

Arrive in Tauranga which has a rich Maori history. Today's optional excursion is to Rotorua and Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland. Wai-O-Tapu means 'Sacred Waters'. Enjoy a walk past geothermal activity and see the colourful 'Champagne Pool', before travelling to Te Puia which is renowned for the Pohutu geyser.
