Situated halfway between Norway and the North Pole, Spitsbergen is the northernmost inhabited region in the world. Witness glistening glaciers and stunning fjords, pristine Arctic tundra and abundant wildlife, including the elusive Polar Bear, as you travel north of the Arctic Circle. The incredible scenery continues on your journey along Norway's coastline, a landscape of fjords, waterfalls and snow-capped mountains, as well as pretty fishing villages.
Spend a night in a luxury hotel in the Norwegian capital of Oslo, before embarking Scenic Eclipse and spending four days exploring the island of Spitsbergen. Due to the extraordinary nature of the region, the sailing schedule is flexible. You'll embrace the long hours of daylight by taking part in exciting Zodiac and kayak excursions with experienced guides. Scenic Eclipse then sets sail to Norway, reaching the famous North Cape, a memorable moment of this voyage. From here, you'll continue south to the world's northernmost town, Hammerfest.
Just above the Arctic Circle is Tromso, overlooked by the iconic Arctic Cathedral. Spend time discovering this small yet intriguing city, before heading to picturesque Lofoten where charming villages stand tall on rugged islands in the archipelago. Make sure you're on deck as you cruise the awe-inspiring Trollfjord en route to the granite mountain of Torghatten with its distinctive hole going right through it, the subject of Nordland legend and fairy tales. Continue to the pretty village of Geiranger at the heart of UNESCO-listed Geirangerfjord, one of Norway's most beautiful sights, as waterfalls cascade down verdant mountainsides. Scenic Eclipse then cruises Sognefjord to Flam, renowned for its railway.

Day 1 - UK - Oslo (Norway)
Fly from the UK to Oslo, where you'll start your journey into the wonder with an overnight stay in a luxurious hotel.
Day 2 - Oslo - Longyearbyen (Spitsbergen)
Your journey into wonder begins as you fly from Oslo to Longyearbyen, where the crew of Scenic Eclipse will warmly greet you as you step on board. Settle into your handsomely appointed suite and acquaint yourself with the sumptuous facilities of your luxurious Discovery Yacht as you set sail from Longyearbyen and all the wonders that lie in wait.Raise your glass as you toast the start of your voyage at the welcome cocktail reception hosted by the Captain, who will introduce your expert Discovery Leaders and their team.
Days 3-6 - Svalbard Archipelago
The Svalbard Archipelago's rugged glaciers and frozen tundras are a fragile and remote area of vast environmental significance, while Spitsbergen is the largest island. Due to the extraordinary nature of the region, the sailing and expedition schedule is flexible. Your experienced Captain and Discovery Leader will use their expertise to design this section of your voyage from day to day. Making the most of the long hours of daylight, weather and ice conditions to give you the best experience possible in this extraordinary part of the world. You will enjoy daily Scenic Discovery excursions by Zodiac, kayak and on nature walks to get up close to majestic Arctic scenery, tundra landscapes wildlife and marine life that surrounds you.
Day 7 - Bear Island
South of Svalbard and en-route to Norway is the rarely visited Bear Island. A protected nature reserve, it’s home to dramatic cliffs, huge seabird colonies and a unique collection of fauna and flora.
Day 8 - North Cape (Norway) - Hammerfest
Reaching Norway's North Cape is an iconic moment, as it's the northernmost point of Europe's mainland. From here you'll head south to Hammerfest, the world's northernmost town.
Day 9 - Tromsø
Known as the cultural hub of the Arctic, Tromso sits just above the Arctic Circle in the lands of the Midnight Sun. Visit the Polar museum as part of your time exploring this small yet intriguing city.
Day 10 - Gravdal - Trollfjord
Arrive in Lofoten where great, craggy islands touch the sky, picturesque villages dot the archipelago and wildlife abounds. You'll sail impressive Trollfjord as you explore this must-see destination.
Day 11 - Torghatten
Cruise towards the granite mountain of Torghatten. One of Norway's best known mountain formations, its distinctive for a hole going right through it, the subject of Nordland legend and fairy tales.
Day 12 - Trondheim
Norway's Trondheim is a vibrant harbour city filled with colourful warehouses lining the waterways. The well pedestrianised city centre make it an ideal city for exploring by foot.
Day 13 - Geiranger
Your back to exploring the magnificent fjords as you make your way to the village of Geiranger at the heart of UNESCO-protected Geirangerfjord. One of Norway's most beautiful sights, waterfalls cascade down the steep lush mountainsides of this wonder of Mother Nature.
Day 14 - Flam - Vikoyri
Sail along Sognefjord - the largest fjord in Norway. At its deepest Sognefjord plunges to more than 1,300 metres while the spectacular mountains rise on either side. You'll pass through the village of Vikoyri as well as visiting Flam, right in the heart of the fjord. Famous for the Flam Railway and its stunning scenery.
Day 15 - Bergen - UK
Your cruise will end in Norway's magnificent second city, set on a beautiful convergence of fjords and surrounded by mountains. You will be transfers to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
