Silversea’s new Antarctica Bridge cruise offers guests the most direct and fastest way to reach Antarctica. Fly over the Drake Passage from Punta Arenas to King George Island in business-class comfort on a private plane reserved exclusively for Silversea's guests. This saves a total of four days at sea, and includes a bespoke in-flight entertainment programme with Zodiac and IAATO briefings that are tailored entirely for Antarctic expeditions to prepare you for the unique adventure ahead.
Discover the otherworldly beauty of the White Continent in ultimate luxury accompanied by an on-board team of scientists and experts who will explain the wildlife, geology and marine life encountered. Itineraries are intentionally unstructured allowing for moment-by-moment flexibility.
Staying longer at sites of particular interest, or making slight detours whenever weather, nature or curiosity dictate, the Expedition Leader will work closely with the Captain to maximise opportunities for adventure and exploration based on prevailing weather, wildlife activity and sea/ice conditions. Inflatable Zodiac boats allow exploration to places which would otherwise be inaccessible. They are not only incredibly safe and secure, but also provide opportunities for up-close explorations.
