Discovering Alaska and the Inside Passage

Day 1 - Anchorage (Alaska)

Begin your adventure with an overnight hotel stay in Anchorage, giving you plenty of time to explore this exciting city.

Day 2 - Anchorage - Seward

Transfer to Seward where you will embark MS Roald Amundsen.

Day 3 - Cruising College Fjord and Prince William Sound

This morning, marvel at the amazing natural beauty of the less-visited College Fjord which showcases an impressive collection of glaciers. See where the ice and forests meet before cruising onto Prince William Sound.

Day 4 - At Sea - Hubbard Glacier

Spend the morning at sea enjoying the ships facilities before arriving at Hubbard Glacier; the largest tidewater glacier in North America. This remarkable glacier is surrounded by snow-capped mountains, creating a series of awe-inspiring views.

Day 5 - Icy Strait Point

Icy Strait Point offers a glimpse into a life of native settlement. Admire the intricate carvings on the houses and read stories of the clans on the totem poles.

Day 6 - Haines

The small Alaskan town of Haines is framed by glacier-covered mountains and is known for its artist community. Haines had been the home of Chilkat Tlingit people for centuries, before European traders came in the late 19th century, followed by the gold rush era.

Day 7 - Cruising Tracy Arm and Endicott Arm

Admire the stunning scenery of lush greenery, towering cliffs and deep valleys as you cruise Tracy Arm and Endicott Arm.

Day 8 - Sitka

Sitka has an eclectic blend of Alaska Native, Russian, and American history in a dramatic and beautiful open-ocean setting. This is one of the best Inside Passage towns to explore on foot, with such sights as St. Michael's Cathedral, Sheldon Jackson Museum, Castle Hill, Sitka National Historical Park, and the Alaska Raptor Centre topping the town's must-see list. Sitka has beautiful scenery and rich wildlife, the nearby ocean is a great place to spot whales in the summer.

Day 9 - Petersburg

Rarely-visited Petersburg is a thriving fishing village with a strong Norwegian heritage and stunning scenery.

Day 10 - Wrangell

Wrangell is one of the oldest towns in Alaska and has been governed by four different nations - Tlingit, Russia, Britain and the United States. Delve into the history of the area by visiting the petroglyphs on the beach.

Day 11 - Misty Fjords National Monument

The wilderness area of Misty Fjords showcases thick evergreen rain-forests, granite cliffs adorned by dramatic waterfalls and mountain rivers and wetlands along the coast. This tranquil and serene place is a joy to explore.

Day 12 - Ketchikan

The quiet city of Ketchikan is the salmon capital of the world and a paradise for fishermen and nature-lovers alike. Perhaps discover Ketchikan's fascinating Indian heritage and see the authentic totem poles at Totem Bight or spend the day sightseeing at your own pace.

Day 13 - At Sea

Enjoy the ship's facilities during relaxing days at sea. Be on the lookout for dolphins, orcas and whales.

Day 14 - Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Disembark MS Roald Amundsen in Vancouver.
