Dreams of Africa Special Offer

South Africa is a country of contrasts, with golden deserts giving way to subtropical foliage and iconic coastal scenery. Wildlife ranges from elephants and lions in the national parks to marine life including dolphins and whales.

Sail from Cape Town, home to the beautiful Table Mountain, to Mossel where the first Europeans set foot in South Africa in 1488; today it is one of the country's best beach destinations. Port Elizabeth is considered the water sports capital of South Africa with beautiful beaches, great surfing, excellent scuba diving and sensational marine life including dolphins and whales. Just north of the city is Addo Elephant National Park which protects the elephant herds of the Eastern Cape. In Maputo, capital of Mozambique, enjoy the relaxed cosmopolitan atmosphere of the city and discover superb colonial architecture. Interact with Zulu villagers at the Dumazulu Traditional Village just outside Richards Bay or enjoy up-close encounters with crocodiles and snakes at the Zulu Croc Reptile Park.

Wildlife enthusiasts will enjoy the visit to Walvis Bay where there is the chance to explore the Walvis Bay Lagoon, home to a vast range of bird species and a large cape fur seal colony. Experience the exotic sights and sounds of Durban with an overnight stop allowing plenty of opportunity to explore the city's labyrinth of alleways and bazaars. Learn about South Africa's diamond history in Luderitz where there is the chance to visit a ghost town in the desert that was abandoned after the diamond rush finished.
