Itinerary
Day 1

Depart London Heathrow on scheduled Air China overnight flight to Beijing.

Day 2
Beijing

On arrival transfer to the 4 star Tian'tan Hotel in Beijing for a three night stay on room and breakfast basis. The rest of the day is at your leisure. (D)

Day 3
Beijing

Take a full day guided visit to the awesome Mutiannyun section of the Great Wall including a one way cable car ride to the summit. Enjoy the stunning views as this seemingly endless peice of history winds its way into the far distance. (B,L)

Day 4
Beijing

Take a full day excursion to explore the incredible Forbidden City, with its grand palaces, courtyards and gardens and a tour of Tiananmen Square. Visit the beautiful Summer Palace. Included evening Peking Duck dinner at a local restaurant.(B,L,D)

Day 5
Beijing - Xi'an

Morning free. Afternoon flight to Xi’an. Transfer to the 4 star Jianguo Garden Hotel for a two night stay visiting the City Wall en-route. (B,D)

Day 6
Xi'an

Full day guided visit to the amazing Terracotta Museum, where life-sized infantrymen guard the tomb of the first Qin emperor. Continue to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Grand Mosque. (B,L)

Day 7
Xi'an - Guilin

Today fly to Guilin and the Park or Bravo Hotel for a one-night stay. (B,D)

Day 8
Guilin

Delightful Li River Cruise with its peaceful serenity and jagged limestone peaks. Free time in charming Yangshuo. Evening flight to Chengdu and transfer to the Minshan Hotel for a two-night stay. (B,L)

Day 9
Guilin - Chengdu

Tour of Chengdu and visit to the Panda Breeding Centre to see China’s most famous residents and Jinli Cultural Street. Evening Sichuan farewell meal. (B,L,D)

Day 10
Chengdu - Chongquing

Train from Chengdu to Chongqing. Embark the 5 star Victoria Queen, for a three night cruise on a full board basis along the awesome Yangtze River. (B,L,D)

Day 11
Yangtze River

Visit Shibaozhai, with its twelve-story wooden pagoda, Fendgu or Wanzhou. (B,L,D)

Day 12
Yangtze River

Today enter the Three Gorges, one of nature’s most extraordinary sculptures. Qutang Gorge is the shortest at five miles and the narrowest at five hundred feet whilst the twenty-five mile long Wu Gorge is known for its quiet beauty. Take an excursion through the Daning River and The Lesser Three Gorges or Shenong Stream. (B,L,D)

Day 13
Yangtze River - Hangzhou

Morning visit to the Three Gorges Dam site. Arrive in Yichang and disembark. Journey to Wuhan for flight to Hangzhou and the Friendship Hotel for a two night stay. (B,L)

Day 14
Hangzhou

Morning tour of Hangzhou including a short cruise on the West Lake, Linyin Temple and a typical tea farm. Afternoon free. (B,L)

Day 15
Hangzhou - Suzhou

Head to Wuzhen to visit this typical water town before continuing to Suzhou known as the ‘Venice of the East’. This charming city is a mass of narrow cobblestone streets and scenic canals. Visit a silk spinning factory and gardens before checking in to The Castle Hotel for a one night stay. (B,L,D)

Day 16
Suzhou - Shanghai

Morning tour to the picturesque Garden of Humble Administration and a short cruise on the Grand Canal. Head north to Shanghai and the Jianguo or Anting Villa Hotel for a two night stay. (B,L)

Day 17
Shanghai

Visit the Yu Garden - a classical Chinese garden with over 30 pavilions linked by a maze of corridors and bridges over ponds. Time to explore the old town and a walk along the waterfront. Free time before enjoying a Shanghai style dinner. (B,L,D)

Day 18
Shanghai - Hong Kong

Transfer to Shanghai Airport for flight to Hong Kong and the Regal Kowloon Hotel (or similar) for a two night stay. (B)

Day 19
Hong Kong

Visit Victoria Peak with its famous Peak Tram, Aberdeen Fishing Village is unlike any other place in Hong Kong and awash with fishing trawlers and houseboats and Repulse Bay has a large, sandy beach. Enjoy an included lunch on a floating restaurant with the rest of the afternoon free. (L)

Day 20
Transfer to Hong Kong Airport for flight to London Heathrow via Beijing arriving later the same day.
