Day 3 - At Sea

Enjoy the ship’s facilities on a relaxing day at sea.

Day 4 - La Coruña (Spain)

La Coruna, nicknamed the Crystal City, is situated in the beautiful region of Galicia. Admire the glass-fronted buildings along the seafront promenade and the Torre del Hercules lighthouse. Peruse the beautiful old streets in Ciudad Vieja and explore the colonnaded Maria Pita Square.

Day 6 - Cádiz

Believed to be one of Europe's oldest cities, it is from Cadiz that Spain's many galleons once sailed in quest of New World treasure. Admire its ancient palaces and castles, cathedrals and churches, museums and gardens. The picturesque old city looks quite Moorish in appearance with its narrow cobbled streets and small squares. From Cadiz you can reach the beautiful city of Seville, home to flamenco and bullfights, with its impressive Gothic Cathedral and the Alcazar which was the palace of Spanish kings for nearly seven centuries.

Day 7 - Gibraltar

Gibraltar and Mt Abyla were known as the Pillars of Hercules in ancient times. Today it is a renowned headland under British rule. Keep an eye out for the famous Barbary apes that live on the island and perhaps enjoy a cable car ride for panoramic views across to Africa.

Day 8 - Lisbon (Portugal)

The Portuguese capital has a quirky charm and much character. The steep, cobbled streets of the ancient Moorish Alfama district lead to wonderful viewpoints looking over the city. Perhaps enjoy a visit to the unique four-storey Belem Tower fortress, the breathtaking Jeronimos Monastery or the modern Monument to the Discoveries, shaped like the prow of a sailing ship. Lisbon's magnificent harbour is spanned by the longest suspension bridge in Europe.

Day 9 - Leixões

Leixoes is the gateway to Oporto, a colourful city with soaring bell towers, baroque churches and medieval relics. Optional excursions include a boat trip on the River Douro for a different view of the city’s labyrinthine streets or why not relax in the gorgeous botanical gardens, with fountains, sculptures, giant magnolias, olive trees and stunning views of the city and Douro River.
