Day 1 - Bristol Avonmouth (UK)

Embark Marco Polo in Bristol Avonmouth.

Day 2 - At sea

Enjoy the ship’s facilities on a relaxing day at sea.

Day 3 - La Pallice (France)

La Pallice is gateway to the lovely coastal town of La Rochelle. Perhaps relax at a quayside restaurant, enjoy shopping in the historic streets or visit the city’s many fascinating museums.

Day 4 - Getxo (Spain)

From Getxo perhaps take a trip to nearby Bilbao whose Museo Guggenheim is a major attraction with its mostly contemporary art collection and lovely riverside setting. The delightful city has a charming Old Quarter, lively tapas bars, excellent shopping, and outstanding architecture.

Day 5 - At sea

Enjoy the ship’s facilities on a relaxing day at sea.

Days 6-7 - Lisbon (Portugal)

Lisbon is full of charm, with its beautiful Roman and Moorish ruins, white-domed cathedrals, lamplit old quarters, narrow cobblestone lanes and grand plazas. Perhaps explore the breathtaking UNESCO-listed monastery, the dramatic hilltop fortifications of Castelo de Sao Jorge or the sublime fortress of Torre de Belem.

Day 8 - Leixoes

Leixoes is the gateway to the colourful city of Oporto. Optional excursions include a boat trip on the River Douro for a different view of the city’s labyrinthine streets or why not relax in the gorgeous botanical gardens with their fountains, sculptures and stunning views of the city and Douro River.

Day 9 - La Coruna (Spain)

Nicknamed the ‘Crystal City’ for the glass-fronted buildings along its attractive seafront, La Coruna offers historic sights and fabulous beaches. Perhaps enjoy the excellent aquarium, visit the 2nd-century Torre del Hercules lighthouse or ascend to the hilltop park at the top of Monte de San Pedro for exceptional views over the city and coast.

Enjoy the ship’s facilities on a relaxing day at sea.

Day 11 - Bristol Avonmouth

Disembark Marco Polo in Bristol Avonomuth.
