Spain to Morocco and Portugal 2017 Itinerary

Day 1 - Cannes (France)

Embark Royal Clipper in Cannes.

Day 2 - Bonifacio (Corsica)

The citadel city of Bonifacio is a spectacular sight from the sea. Perhaps take a boat trip to see the grottos and caves along the coast, or take the train up to this cliff-top town and enjoy the views from the Haut Ville.

Day 3 - Mahon (Menorca, Spain)

Mahon, the capital of Menorca, is a charming city with market stalls, shops and an old quarter of Georgian buildings to explore. Discover the island's beautiful white sandy beaches that are amongst the loveliest in the Mediterranean.

Day 4 - Ibiza

The sun-kissed, pine-clad island of Ibiza has a surprisingly peaceful side, with tranquil unspoiled beaches and beautiful coastal walks.

Day 5 - At sea

Enjoy the ship’s facilities on a relaxing day at sea.

Day 6 - Motril

The charming resort of Motril in Andalucia enjoys sunny beaches and is backed by the mountains of the Sierra Nujar. Perhaps take a trip to Granada and the magnificent Alhambra Palace or travel to the Nerja Caves, a series of fascinating caverns.

Day 7 - At sea

Enjoy the ship’s facilities on a relaxing day at sea.

Day 8 - Safi (Morocco)

Safi is a charming town on Morocco's Atlantic coast. Attractions include its fascinating fortresses and the beautiful Colline des Potiers (Potters' quarter) with its ancient wood-burning kilns. Optional excursions include a trip to exotic Marrakesh with its colourful souks, aristocratic Bahia Palace and 12-acre Marjorelle botanical garden in the heart of the city.

Day 9 - Casablanca

Casablanca is an evocative blend of a modern city with beaches bordering the Atlantic, and an old centre that is home to narrow, cobbled alleys, bazaars, souks, minarets and medinas. Perhaps visit Casablanca’s modernist landmark, the beautiful and incredibly ornate Hassan II Mosque.

Day 10 - Tangier

Discover Tangier’s mixture of Moroccan, European and African flavours and cultures. Perhaps visit the white-walled Kasbah and the Sultan's Garden with its Moroccan fountain, fragrant herbs and orange and lemon trees.

Day 11 - Cadiz (Spain)

Cadiz is the gateway to Jerez, known as the centre of Spain's sherry industry. The gold dome of the Baroque Cathedral Nueva overlooks the old quarter’s romantic winding streets. Perhaps stop for coffee in the tree-shaded piazza of San Juan de Dios, stroll in the medieval quarter of El Populo or take an optional tour of the magical city of Seville with its cathedral, Alcazar Palace and Andalusian gardens.

Day 12 - At sea

Enjoy the ship’s facilities on a relaxing day at sea.

Day 13 - Lisbon (Portugal)

Disembark Royal Clipper in Lisbon.

Day 6 - Motril

Motril in Andalucia enjoys sunny beaches and nestles at the foot of the mountains of the Sierra Nujar. It is the gateway to Granada and the magnificent Alhambra Palace, or why not travel to the fascinating Nerja Caves.

Day 7 - Malaga

Malaga has a beautiful setting on the Costa del Sol and its splendid Moorish architecture includes fortress palace of the Alcazaba and the Castillo de Gibralfaro.

Day 8 - Puerto Banus

Puerto Banus is the Costa del Sol's playground for the rich and famous. With a luxury marina and high-class boutiques, this beautiful Mediterranean resort is adored by jet-setters around the world.

Day 9 - Gibraltar

Gibraltar is famous for the iconic Rock of Gibraltar. Perhaps take the cable car to the top for spectacular views and to see the island's famous apes. Dolphins leap in the sparkling waters of Gibraltar Bay and the chances of seeing them on trips around the bay are good.

Day 10 - Tangier (Morocco)
