Corsica and the French Riviera

Day 1 - Cannes (France)

Embark Royal Clipper in Cannes.

Day 2 - Portofino (Italy)

The fishing village of Portofino on the Italian Riviera is popular with the rich and famous and has a variety of upmarket boutiques and luxury hotels. The magnificent Church of St George and impressive Castello Brown with its beautiful garden overlook the busy harbour and picturesque pastel houses.

Day 3 - L'Ile Rousse (Corsica, France)

The seaside town of L’Ile Rousse is located at the foot of the beautiful Balagne hills and has a beautiful white sandy beach. Admire the 18th and 19th century architecture, visit the upmarket boutiques or perhaps explore the old town with its charming streets which surround the main square. Other sights include the impressive lighthouse and magnificent Genoese Tower, built in the 16th-century

Day 4 - Calvi

The historic port of Calvi has an impressive 15th-century citadel and stunning white sandy beach called La Pinede. Perhaps visit the 16th-century Cathedral of St Jean Baptiste or see the statue which is said to mark the birthplace of Christopher Columbus. The town also has a fascinating museum where you can learn about the history of Corsica.

Day 5 - Porquerolles (Iles d’Hyeres) – Sanary-sur-Mer

The beautiful island of Porquerolles is one of the Isles d’Hyeres. Perhaps relax on the beautiful Notre Dame beach or take a stroll around the village. Later, cruise to Sanary-sur-Mer, a beautiful Provencal village. See the pastel coloured houses which line the beautiful harbour or head to the 13th-century tower, once an important form of defence. The waters surrounding Sanary-sur-Mer were once explored by pioneers in diving, including Jacques Cousteau.

Day 6 - St Tropez

Spend the morning relaxing on one of the beautiful beaches and the afternoon exploring the town. St Tropez on the French Riviera is popular with the rich and famous, with luxurious yachts docking in the harbour. Perhaps head to the old fishing quarter of La Ponche or head to one of the cafes.

Day 7 - Monaco

The ancient principality of Monaco is famous for its Grand Casino and Grand Prix Circuit. Explore this playground for the rich and famous, perhaps visiting the Prince's Palace, St Nicholas Cathedral and the exotic gardens.

Day 8 - Cannes

Disembark Royal Clipper in Cannes.
