Gems of the Seine Itinerary

Day 1 - UK - Paris (France)

Fly from a choice of regional airports or travel by Eurostar from St. Pancras International to Paris Gare du Nord. A representative will transfer you to your luxury ship. Tonight enjoy a welcome reception. (D)

Day 2 - Paris - Les Andelys

In 2017, enjoy scenic cruising to Les Andelys. On arrival, you can hike to King Richard the Lionheart's Chateau Gaillard or travel to the spectacular village of Lyons la Foret with an included cider tasting. Alternatively, visit the L'Arboretum de Lyons nature reserve. In 2018, enjoy scenic cruising to Les Andelys. On arrival, perhaps enjoy a hike to Chateau Gaillard, head to Fleury-la-Foret Castle for a cider tasting or join a local guide for a walking tour of Les Andelys.

Days 3-4 - Rouen

This morning we arrive in Rouen, renowned for its historical ties to Joan of Arc after being burned at the stake. Today there is the choice to discover Rouen on a walking tour or enjoy a cooking demonstration at a French Baking and Patisserie Institute (2017 only). This evening, there is an onboard lecture about the Somme Battlefields. The following day, there is the choice to take an excursion to the Somme Battlefields including a visit to the Australian National Memorial which commemorates the 10,773 soldiers killed during World War II or alternatively visit the Museum of Fine Arts. Days 5-6 - Honfleur

Take in the passing scenery as you cruise to Honfleur. See the beautiful old houses on a guided walking tour or immerse yourself in the beautiful la Cote Fleurie region with a visit to Deauville. Later there is a Scenic Sundowner experience. Enjoy an exclusive cocktail event at the estate of Manoir d'Appreval, before re-boarding the ship and enjoying music by a local swing band. The following day, there is the option to visit the Normandy D-Day landing beaches. In 2017, there is also the option to explore Normandy's famous Calvados Route, admiring the beautiful villages along the way. In 2018, there is also the option to enjoy a guided tour of Etretat. Day 7 - Caudebec-en-Caux

In 2017, enjoy a tour of the beautiful town of Etretat or explore the hilltop village of Bolbec and enjoy a visit to the Textile Museum and Normand Traditions Museum. Alternatively, head to the Seine Museum. For those feeling active, there is a guided bike ride to the village of Villequier for a visit to the Victor Hugo Museum. Scenic Enrich - Dine exclusively within Abbots Hall at Fecamp's Benedictine Palace and enjoy a live classical concert. In 2018, visit Fecamp and its magnificent palace or head to Bolbec and see the fabrics at the Textile Museum before travelling to the Normandy Traditions Museum. For the more active, opt for the cycling tour to Villequier and the Victor Hugo Museum. (B,L,D)

Day 8 - Vernon

Spend the morning cruising to Vernon. This region of France was popular with many Impressionist artists. Visit Giverny and Monet's former house and gardens, take a self-guided cycle from Vernon to Giverny, or alternatively see the sights independently. In 2018, there is a Scenic Enrich experience this evening. Enjoy a live classical concert at the impressive Chateau de La Roche-Guyon. (B,L,D)

Day 9 - Conflans - Paris

Today there is the choice to visit the charming village of Auvers-sur-Oise including entry to Vincent Van Gogh's room or visit the magnificent Chantilly Castle for a guided tour. Later, see the illuminated sights of Paris as the ship arrives this evening. (B,L,D)

Day 10 - Paris

Visit one of Paris's local food markets with a chef, join a resident expert for a tour of the city or head to the magnificent 17th-century Vicomte Palace, the inspiration for Versailles Palace. Vicomte Palace was featured in the James Bond movie, Moonraker. There is also the option to explore Paris independently. (B,L,D)

Day 11 - Paris - UK

After breakfast, disembark and transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK or take the Eurostar to London St Pancras. (B)
