Days 1 to 5 - Gatwick (UK) to Hurghada (Egypt)

Fly from the UK to Hurghada and transfer to the Grand Makadi, where you will stay for 5 nights on an all inclusive basis.
Day 6 - Luxor (Egypt)
Transfer to Luxor, a mesmerising city of ancient monuments, tombs and temples, and embark MS Grand Rose.
Day 7 - East Bank (Egypt)
After breakfast visit the East bank of Thebes and the Temples of Luxor and Karnak. At the vast open air museum of Karnak, marvel at the Great Hypostyle Hall with its 134 columns. In the afternoon, sail to Kom Ombo via Esna lock.
Day 8 - Kom Ombo (Egypt)
The cruise continues via the impressive sight of Kom Ombo standing sentinel at a bend in the river. Visit this unusual double temple, built in 250BC to honour the crocodile-headed Sobek and the falcon-headed Horus, before sailing on to Aswan.
Day 9 - Aswan (Egypt)
Make the most of the onboard facilities as you sail to the Aswan area. Alternatively, take time out for one of the optional excursions, such as an early morning trip to Abu Simbel (by air or by bus)* or a day trip to an Aswan Nubian Village national park*. During the evening, there is an optional excursion to the atmospheric Sound and Light show in the Philae Temple.
Day 10 - Agilika (Egypt)
Spending the morning visiting the island of Agilika and Philae Temple, which was moved to the island between 1972 and 1980 to save it from flooding when the Aswan High Dam was built. After lunch, enjoy a romantic felucca or motor boat ride on the Nile (subject to weather conditions).
Day 11 - Luxor (Egypt)
Make the most of the onboard facilities as you sail back towards Luxor.
Day 12 - Western Thebes (Egypt)
Travel to the West Bank of Thebes and the Valley of the Kings, the final resting place of a succession of mighty Pharaohs. Optional visit to Tutankhamun's tomb (please note that the surviving treasures now reside in the Cairo Museum). Other highlights include the imposing Temple of Hatshepsut, the gigantic Colossi of Memnon, which have stood in the Theban necropolis for the last 3400 years, and Medinet Habu, the mortuary temple of Rameses III. Enjoy your last evening in grand style with the optional Sound & Light show at Karnak.
Days 13-14 - Hotel Stay in Makadi (Egypt)
After breakfast, relax on board before being transferred to the Grand Makadi Hotel for a relaxing, all-inclusive 2-night stay.
Day 15 - Hurghada (Egypt) to UK
Relax and enjoy the facilities at the Grand Makadi Hotel before transferring to the airport for your return flight to the UK
