This wonderful short break begins in Tromsø, the
capital of Arctic Norway, also known as the Paris
of the North. Look to the sky in search of the
Northern Lights, as we sail through the beautiful
Vesterålen and Lofoten Islands.
We call at picturesque settlements en route and pass through Raftsundet, the narrow channel that links the two island groups
that have inspired myths and legends over time.
Svolvær is an attractive little town with fashionable shops and attractions. In Svolvær, you will stay overnight in a centrally located hotel, where you have the opportunity to visit Norway’s first Ice Bar, which is complete with ice sculptures depicting life in this area. The mountains to the north, including the impressive Svolværgeita or Goat Mountain, provides a beautiful setting.

Sledging – Tromsø
Experience a real taste of Norway as you travel by husky-dog sledge across the open plains of Tromsø. Eager huskies are harnessed to the sledge, waiting to transport you over the frozen landscape. At the end of the trip, a warming meal in a Lavvo (Sami Tent) is included. Participants on this excursion will be collected from their hotel and taken directly to the airport or ship after the trip.
