In Search of the Northern Lights Excursions

Make the most of your voyage by complementing it with one or more selections from our wide range of excursions from thrilling activities to relaxing city tours. Warm clothes and comfortable sturdy shoes are recommended. All trips are accompanied by knowledgeable English speaking guides and any necessary equipment will be provided.

Please see below excursions available in various ports of call depending on your chosen itinerary. Most excursions can be pre-booked and only remaining places will be sold on board so to avoid disappointment we recommend that you pre-book excursions as soon as possible and at least 14 days prior to departure.

Alesund

Art Nouveau Tour - Ålesund:
Rebuilt after a disastrous fire in 1904, the town was recreated to reflect the Art Nouveau trend of the age. This guided tour brings the town, its history and the symbolism of its architecture to life. A visit to the Art Nouveau Centre is included.

Atlanterhavspaken Aquarium and Ount Aksla - Ålesund:
Visit Atlanterhavsparken, one of Northern Europe's largest salt-water aquariums and enjoy close encounters with marine life from arround the coastal waters of Norway. The tour includes a spectacular diving show and a visit to the open-air pool to see the resident penguins. Afterwards drive to mount Aksla, where you can admire the view and take pictures.

Level 1: Suitable for everyone
Level 2: Suitable for most guests, requires some physical effort.
Level 3: Suitable for guests in good physical condition.

Please note that all excursions may be subject to minimum/maximum numbers as well as weather, ice and snow conditions. Any excursions booked on board the ships or locally will be charged in Norwegian Kroner and the prices may vary due to fluctuations in the exchange rate. The operators reserve the right to alter the contents without prior notice.

Please note that if this cannot take place due to a lack of snow an alternative may be offered. Any difference in price will be refunded on your return to the UK.
