coast from Tromsø, capital of Arctic Norway to Bergen. Starting within the Arctic Circle increases our chances of seeing the Aurora Borealis.
Your voyage will begin in Tromsø, the Paris of the North and takes in the ever changing landscape en route to the gateway of the fjords, Bergen. Experience a real taste of Norway, look out for the Northern Lights and enjoy an optional husky-dog sledge ride across the open plains.
Our journey takes in the Viking capital of Norway, Trondheim, where you have the opportunity to join a tour of this great city with its fine examples of medieval and impressive wooden architecture. You will pass the 18th century Stiftsgarden Palace and the magnificent 14th century Nidaros Cathedral, considered one of the grandest Gothic buildings in northern Europe.

Fly from Stansted to Tromsø and transfer to a hotel, where you will have the afternoon to explore this lively city. Dinner at the hotel is included before you embark the ship just before midnight. (D) |

Enjoy the voyage south enjoying the transitions along the fjord-pierced coastline as we sail from the sparse northern landscapes to the more populated, lusher southern regions. (B, D) |

Dog
Sledging – Tromsø
Experience a real taste of Norway as you travel by husky-dog sledge across the open plains of Tromsø. Eager huskies are harnessed to the sledge, waiting to transport you over the frozen landscape. At the end of the trip, a warming meal in a Lavvo (Sami Tent) is included. Participants on this excursion will be collected from their hotel and taken directly to the airport or ship after the trip.

Trondheim Sightseeing
This tour of Trondheim and its surrounding area visits the famous medieval Nidaros Cathedral and passes by Stiftsgarden Palace, one of Scandinavia’s most impressive wooden buildings.
