Day 9
Temples of Wadi El Seboua, Meharakka and Dakka

A cruise on Lake Nasser differs from a Nile river cruise in several ways. Bereft of towns and villages, the tranquillity and serenity of its remarkable desert setting is simply breathtaking, the ever-changing colours of the landscape a constant delight. Many of the sites can only be visited from the lake and transferring ashore in tender boats our excursions are accessed by way of small gangplanks, making the cruise potentially unsuitable for passengers who require assistance or have difficulties with mobility. Sailing on to Wadi el Seboua you will pass through the Tropic of Cancer. This afternoon visit the stunning Wadi El Seboua Temple, as well as the relocated temples of Meharakka and Dakka, before continuing to Amada, where you will overnight. Meals: B,L,D

Day 10
Kasr Ibrim, Abu Simbel

After breakfast, visit the Temple of Amada, site of the lake’s oldest monuments, as well as the Temple of Derr and the tomb of Penout before sailing to Kasr Ibrim. The citadel of Kasr Ibrim presents you with the only monument on Lake Nasser to have remained in its original location. As entrance is not permitted to this site your guide will give a talk from the sundeck. After your visit here you then head for surely one of the highlights of your journey, the magnificent rock-cut temples of Abu Simbel. Included in your itinerary is the fabulous Sound and Light show this evening at Abu Simbel. Meals: B,L,D

Day 11
