Galapagos Cruises

Explore the Galapagos Islands on Celebrity Xpedition

A 12-day holiday with a 7-night Galapagos Islands cruise and 2-night hotel stay pre- and one-night post-cruise in Quito, Ecuador. Optional extension to Cuzco and Maccu Picchu

The Galapagos islands are so isolated that many of its creatures aren't found anywhere else on earth. From marine iguanas to giant tortoises, prepare for a rare, close-up experience in this incredible living laboratory.

You can also extend your Galapagos islands adventure with a post-cruise extension in Peru including a tour and overnight hotel stay in Lima, a 3-night hotel stay in Cuzco and tours of the Sacred Valley and amazing Machu Picchu.

Marine Iguana

Isla San Salvador: You'll feel like you're on another planet on this desolate island moonscape. Be sure to take the walk across the volcanic landscape of red, orange, green or glistening black formations to visit the famous Tuff Cone called Pinnacle Rock - it's also a favourite meeting place for sea lions and Galapagos penguins, the smallest of the penguin species. Then cool off with a swim on one of the island's many excellent beaches.

Isla Santa Cruz: Located on Isla Santa Cruz are the headquarters of the Charles Darwin Research Station. All the Galapagos' "life zones" are present on this island - wild tortoises roam free in the mist covered grasses of the humid highland zone; flycatchers, finch and owl fill the Scalesia forests near Los Gremlos; and the coastal region offers spectacular scenery - from the mangrove lagoon of Black Turtle Beach to cactus-covered Puerto Ayora. Make time to visit the Rearing Centre for giant tortoises and learn more about island conservation and the ongoing research.

Isla Floreana: The oldest of the islands, you'll find Floreana with its inactive volcano and rich vegetation a marked contrast to its younger neighbours. Flamingos, white-cheeked pintail ducks, and green sea turtles are among the highlights on land, while the sunken crater of Devil's Crown offers great snorkeling offshore. It's also renowned for its colourful history of buccaneers, colonists and convicts. Visit the historical site in Post Office Bay where an 18th century whaling crew placed a wooden barrel that you still can use as a post box.
