Short Spring and Easter cruise breaks from Amsterdam through Holland

Embark at 6pm in Amsterdam with time to settle into your cabin before meeting the crew during a welcome cocktail reception. Dinner on board follwed by a night-time optional sightseeing tour of Amsterdam by river boat.

Breakfast on board as the cruise begins on one of Holland's largest inland seas, the Ijsselmeer. Lunch on board and a visit to Volendam, a port which specialises in eel fishing, at 1pm. In the 19th century, artists used to come here to paint everyday life scenes, coloured by traditional costumes. There is an optional sightseeing tour to Zaanse Schans, an outdoor museum: this village owns mills that are still working, houses of the 17th and the 18th century. Return to the ship for dinner on board around 6pm followed by an evening of entertainment.

Breakfast as we cruise this morning. Optional coach tour to Alkmaar and a visit to its cheese museum, where cheese and butter are produced. Return on board at Volendam for lunch. We depart in the direction of Hoorn, a village which owes its wealth to the shipping trade and herring fishing. Explore Hoorn at your leisure on arrival at around 3pm, returning to the ship for dinner and an entertaining evening with a crew show.

Breakfast on board and a morning spent cruising on the Ijsselmeer towards Enkhuizen. Aperitif games will be organised in the dining room before lunch is served. We arrive in Enkhuizen after midday when there is time at leisure to discover the city and its 17th century Renaissance buildings. The Zuiderzee Museum wil give you a glimpse of everyday life in former times. Return for dinner on board followed by a gala evening.

Enjoy breakfast and lunch on board whilst cruising towards Amsterdam, arriving around 2pm. There is an optional sightseeing tour to Keukenhof Floral Park to admire the wide cariety of tulips, narcisi and daffodils. Return to the ship for dinner and perhaps explore further this evening.

Disembark after breakfast, at about 9am.
