Itinerary
Day 1
London - Budapest

Begin with the VIP Home Departure Service to London Heathrow or Gatwick Airport for your scheduled British Airways or other leading airline flight to Budapest. Meet your representative on arrival and transfer to the port to embark the River Beatrice

Day 2
Budapest

Budapest is an enchanting city with a vibrant mix of East and West, and Medieval and modern. Made up of two parts—Buda, the hills, and Pest, the flat lands - it is divided by the Danube and is an architectural dream. Your city tour features the famous Chain Bridge, an early 19th-century bridge that was the first to connect Buda with Pest, the UNESCO-listed Castle Hill district, and the 19th-century Fisherman’s Bastion with dramatic vistas of the city. Captain’s Welcome Dinner this evening.

Day 3
Cruising the Danube - Vienna

Enjoy a day of leisure onboard your floating hotel as your ship slowly winds its way up the enchanting Danude and meanders through a series of locks.

Day 4
Vienna

Vienna is a treasure trove of secular and sacred gems—St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the most beloved architectural wonder in all of Vienna, and the stately Ringstrasse, the broad thoroughfare surrounded by the many imperial buildings and monuments that give Vienna its wedding cake appearance. Your city tour will take you along the Ringstrasse to visit the National Library, and the Baroque State Hall of the Austrian National Library, said to be the most beautiful library room in the world.

Day 5
Dürnstein - Cruising the Wachau Valley - Melk

The tiny Baroque village of Dürnstein seems lost in time. It is perhaps most famous for being where Richard the Lionhearted was held captive in 1192 and 1193 until he paid a heavy ransom in silver. Leisure time to wander through the village with its old burgher houses and 16th-18th century townhouses, ending at the exquisite Baroque cathedral. Depart Dürnstein and cruise through the heart of the fairytale, vineyard-rich Wachau Valley with its abruptly rising hills, nestling Baroque villages and ancient monuments. This fascinating stretch of landscape along the Danube has recently been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. You arrive in Melk, famous for its Benedictine Abbey high atop the granite cliffs of the Danube. A tour will allow you to marvel at the famous Melk Cross.

Day 6
Linz

This morning you will travel overland to Salzburg, ‘the city of salt’. Your city tour will take in the Old Town on foot, see the Mirabellgarten and visit the 15th century Dom Cathedral before returning to the ship.

Day 7
Passau

Your guided walk starts in the medieval section of Passau, and then takes you past St. Stephan’s Cathedral, home to Europe’s largest pipe organ. Later, you return to St. Stephan’s for an organ concert.* Captain’s Farewell Dinner this evening. *Organ concert not available on Sundays or before May 2 or after October 31

Day 8
Passau - Munich - London

Disembark the ship and transfer to Munich Airport for your British Airways or other leading airline flight home. Arrive in London Heathrow or Gatwick where a representative will meet you and our transport will transfer you to your own front door
