Your adventures along this breathtakingly beautiful section of the river begins with a visit to Miltenberg, a medieval town with crooked streets and leaning houses that are right out of the pages of a German fairytale. Rüdesheim has a long history going back to Roman times. The town is famous for, among other things, the Drosselgasse, its long avenue of shops and wine bars, and the impressive Niederwald Monument. During the morning you visit Siegfried’s Museum, one of the world’s best collection of mechanical musical instruments, before cruising onto Boppard.

Today’s walking tour takes you through the narrow streets of Old Town, passing by tiny squares and little churches as you make your way to the magnificent Cologne Cathedral** where the earthly remains of the Three Kings of the Magi are believed to lay at rest.
