Day 1
Porto

Embark your cruise ship in Porto from 5pm. This evening enjoy a welcome cocktail and dinner onboard, followed by an optional coach tour of Porto by night.

Day 2
Porto – Regua

After a buffet breakfast onboard, you may wish to join the optional tour of Porto, Portugal's second largest town, and one of Europe's most ancient and historic towns. Porto also represents the port wine with its vineyards along the Douro. We visit one of the greatest cellars in Villa Nova de Gaia, where you will have the opportunity to taste the wines. Back on board for lunch and an afternoon of relaxed cruising as we admire the wonderful landscapes of the Douro Valley. We pass the locks of Crestuma and Carapatello (the highest in Europe, at 36 metres). Arrive in Regua around 8pm. Dinner aboard and evening with a folk dancing group, or explore Regua.

Day 3
Regua - Barca d'Alva

This morning there will be an optional visit to Villa Real, inluding a walk in the beautiful gardens of Solar de Mateus. The ship sails to Pinhao. Lunch onboard. This afternoon we sail through the hills in the heart of the Porto vineyards, passing through the Valeira and Pocinho locks and arriving in Barca d'Alva this evening. Dinner and flamenco evening on board.

Day 4
Vega de Teron

Today there is a full day optional excursion to the Spanish city of Salamanca, a Unesco World heritage site with its Roman, Arabic and Christian architectural treasures. Re-join the ship in Vega Teron for dinner.

Day 5
Vega de Teron - Ferradosa - Pinhao

Our cruise ship departs from Vega de Teron early this morning. We pass through the locks of Pocinho and Valeria, and cruise all the morning. Lunch on board. Arrive at Ferradosa around 2 pm. This afternoon our optional 'Wines of Porto' excursion takes you to the heart of the vineyards for a tasting of Porto wines in a local "quinta". You may also discover the beautiful Pinhao's railway station with its 'azulejos'. Dinner and gala evening on board.

Day 6
Pinhao - Porto

After breakfast we depart from Pinhao by coach for the guided tour of Lamego (optional excursion),where you will discover the Nossa Senhora dos Remedios sanctuary and the beautiful Cathedral. We rejoin the ship for lunch at Regua and spend the afternoon on a leisurely cruise back to Porto. Dinner and entertainment evening on board.

Day 7
Porto

Buffet breakfast aboard followed by a free morning in Porto. Back on board for lunch. In the afternoon you may take some more time to discover Porto at your leisure stroll, or you may choose to join the optional excursion to Braga, nicknamed the 'Portuguese Rome' because of its impressive sacred architecture. Return on board for dinner and entertainment.

Day 8
Porto

Disembark after breakfast.
