After a buffet breakfast onboard, you may wish to join the optional tour of Porto, Portugal's second largest town, and one of Europe's most ancient and historic towns. Porto also represents the port wine with its vineyards along the Douro. We visit one of the greatest cellars in Villa Nova de Gaia, where you will have the opportunity to taste the wines. Back on board for lunch and an afternoon of relaxed cruising as we admire the wonderful landscapes of the Douro Valley. We pass the locks of Crestuma and Carapatello (the highest in Europe, at 36 metres). Arrive in Regua around 8pm. Dinner aboard and evening with a folk dancing group, or explore Regua.
