Day 1
Seville

Travel to Seville, and embark your cruise ship, with boarding from 5pm. Time to settle into your cabin and presentation of the crew, followed by a friendly welcome drink served in the lounge, then dinner on board. Free evening in Seville or transfer to the historic city centre by coach for a stroll in the company of our hostess.

Day 2
Seville - Cadiz

Breakfast on board. Optional guided tour of Seville. The city of Seville, 'the radiant city', is famous for its art and its magical ambience. Discover the Cathedral, the Alcazar Palace (closed on Mondays) and its Andalusian gardens. Back on board at about 1.00 pm. Ship departs, lunch on board. As we sail along the Great River, you will discover an untouched countryside, where fields of cotton and rice exhibit an extraordinary fauna population. We cruise alongside the Donana National Park, classed by UNESCO as a natural biosphere reserve, and pass Sanlucar de Barrameda. In the evening we arrive in Cadiz. Dinner on board. After dinner, time at leisure or an optional flamenco evening.

Day 3
Cadiz - Cadiz (Jerez option)

Breakfast on board. Optional tour of Jerez, capital of wine, horses and cradle of flamenco song. A panoramic tour will enable you to see Alcazar and the cathedral. Your tour will continue with a visit to a 'ganaderia' and the chance to learn about how the living symbol of Spanish culture, the bull, is raised. After lunch on board there is the option to take the guided tour of Cádiz. This marvellous white and blue city will surprise you with its cultural and historic richness. Departure in the evening for Alcoutim. Sailing at night.

Day 4
Alcoutim, Vila Real (Faro option)

Breakfast during the cruise. Sailing on the Guadiana. Sailing up the river to Alcoutim. This river is pure delight, fabulous landscapes, villages that time has forgotten. Arrival in Alcoutim around 10h30, a typical Algarve village. Free time. Back on board for lunch and departure of the cruise for Vila Réal de St Antonio which we will reach around 15h. Free time in Vila Réal, town centre and beach close to the mooring, or optional excursion to Faro. Departure by coach for Faro, which was originally an important centre for Roman trade and then a Moorish city, before becoming an important provincial city after the Christian conquest in 1249. In 1580, the city was elected to the rank of regional capital. Walking tour of the old city, the castle and the cathedral. You will also see the exteriors of the convent, the seminary and the bishop's residence. Free time, then back to Vila Réal de San Anton. Dinner on a Portuguese theme on board followed by a Portuguese folk evening. Overnight stopover.

Day 5
Vila Real, Sanlucar de Barrameda

Departure early in the morning. Breakfast during the cruise. A morning's sailing on the Guadiana River, then on the sea in the Gulf of Cádiz to Sanlucar de Barrameda. Lunch during the cruise. Arrival in Sanlucar de Barrameda around 16h. Departure for the optional visit to a cellar of renown during which the secrets of these specific “Manzanilla” wines will be revealed to you. There will then be an equestrian show, which will take you to the heart of another tradition. Back on board. Dinner on a Spanish theme followed by a flamenco evening on board. Overnight stopover.

Day 6
El Puerto de Santa Maria - Seville (Gibraltar option)

Departure during the night for El Puerto de Santa Maria. Breakfast on board. Free time in El Puerto de Santa Maria, a 2800 year old town bursting with historic sites. The wines are also responsible for the fame of this town, as are its beaches where you will be able to stroll and enjoy the sunshine or alternatively you may wish to take the optional excursion to Gibraltar. Depart by coach for the rock of Gibralter which, with is resident colony of Barbary apes, is the pearl of the bay of Algeciras. Back on board and re-commence cruising at about 7.00pm. Gala dinner. Sail on towards Seville.

Day 7
Seville (Cordoba option)

Breakfast on board. Day devoted to the optional visit of Cordoba. Departure in the morning by coach for Cordoba, City of Caliphs. Guided tour of the city, including the Mosque-Cathedral with its 'forest of columns', no less than 856 of them, decorated with jasper, granite and precious marbles; the Juderia, the old Jewish quarter, with its white streets full of flowers and its typical houses opening onto superb patios.Lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon, free time, then back to Seville where our boat is waiting. Dinner on board, free evening.

Day 8
Seville

Breakfast on board. Disembarkation at 9.00 am.
