Day 1
Lyon - Martigues

Meet at 1.30pm in Lyon in front of the "Brasserie Georges" (Cours de Verdun, next to the Gare Perrache). Then transfer by coach to Martigues where you will board your cruise ship. At 6pm you will meet the crew and enjoy a Welcome Cocktail. Enjoy dinner followed by free time in this typically Mediterranean town where you will stay overnight on the coast.

Day 2
Port Saint Louis - Arles - Avignon

Enjoy breakfast on board before your morning departure for Port Saint-Louis along the Fos canal which runs alongside the Mediterranean. You will arrive at 8am, followed by the optional excursion to Camargue, an exceptional plain where sea, wetlands and pools are inhabited by an extraordinary variety of water fowl. You will then have free time in the delightful village of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer before returning to the boat in Arles for lunch. This afternoon enjoy time at leisure in Arles or an optional walking tour of Arles. You will then set sail at around 5pm to Avignon, where you will arrive at around 8.30pm before enjoying dinner on board.

Day 3
Avignon - Viviers

Enjoy breakfast on board before an optional guided tour of the City of the Popes and its Palace surrounded by its mighty ramparts. Enjoy free time in the city centre before returning to the boat for lunch. The boat will then depart for Viviers and pass through the lock in Bollène. After arriving around 7.30pm, enjoy dinner on board followed by an optional guided walking tour.

Day 4
Viviers - Tain L'Hermitage

After breakfast on board, depart for the optional excursion to the Ardèche Gorge, then head towards Bourg Saint Andéol across the Plateau des Gras to reach Vallon Pont d'Arc. Here, the Ardéche has hewn through the cliff to form a great natural arch, "the Pont d'Arc". From here, the itinerary follows the famous Gorge Trail from where you can see the harmonious meanders of the river. Return to the boat in La Voulte, where you will enjoy lunch on board. In the afternoon, there will be an optional excursion in the Vercors. Depart by coach toward Loriol, where you will visit a wine cellar and taste the famous Clairette de Die. Then, follow the road of the Rousset mountain pass, with its magnificient panoramic view over the Vercors Plateau to Vassieux en Vercors, La Chapelle en Vercors and Pont en Royans, famous for its suspension houses. Return to the ship in Tain l'Hermitage for dinner.

Day 5
Tain L'Hermitage - Vienne - Lyon

Cruise overnight and enjoy breakfast on board. You will arrive in Vienne around 8.30am, where we will stop to allow you to take the optional guided walking tour of Vienne. Vienne was once the capital of the Roman province of Vienna Senatoria and, until the 15th century, was a religious capital. The ship will depart at around 11pm for Lyon, and you will enjoy lunch on board. Lyon is admirably situated at the confluence of the Rhone and the Saône. You will arrive at around 2.30pm, where you will have free time or an optional guided tour of the city. Return to the boat for dinner and a cruise at nightfall up the Saône, sailing past the illuminated old neighbourhoods of Lyon, a unique spectacle. You will then stay overnight in Trevoux.

Day 6
Tournus - Chalon sur Saone

Depart early this morning to Tournus for a cruise on the Saône, during which you will see the Beaujolais and then the Mâconnais vineyards. Enjoy lunch and a stop in Tournus. There will then be an optional excursion to Beaune where you can visit the famous Hospices de Beaune, a masterpiece of Burgundian-Flemish art. Continue along the wine trail of the Côte de Beaune through villages with names which are evocative of great wines before a Wine tasting in a wine maker's cellar. Return to the ship in Chalon-sur-Saône at the end of the afternoon. Enjoy dinner and a gala evening on board.

Day 7
Chalon sur Saone - Lyon

Disembark the ship after breakfast in Chalon-sur-Saône before your transfer by coach to Lyon.
