Day 1
Lyon

Embark at 4pm in Lyon. We set sail southwards at 5pm. This evening enjoy a welcome cocktail, followed by dinner and an evening on board as we cruise overnight.

Day 2
Avignon - Arles

Today we cruise alongside the beautiful landscapes of the South of France and pass near Valence, Saint-Apollinaire’s cathedral, and Montélimar, and pass through the big lock of Bollène. Lunch on board and then arrive in Avignon from where there is an optional coach tour of the Camargue, a sprawling marshland inhabited by extraordinary wildlife, especially flamingoes. Enjoy some free time to visit the wonderful town of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, famous for its gypsy pilgrimages. Return on board for dinner. After dinner, optional guided tour of the town of Arles, a major tourist and cultural site.

Day 3
Avignon - Viviers

Breakfast on board, as the ship cruises early this morning. Arrive in Avignon after breakfast. Optional guided tour of the Cite des Papes, the ancient citadel palace of the Popes. At the base of the palace you can admire the Saint-Bézenet bridge, better known as the “Pont d’Avignon”. Return on board. Our ship departs at noon, as we head towards Roquemaure. Lunch on board. At 2pm there is an optional coach tour to visit the Gorges de l’Ardèche, Bourg-Saint-Andéol, and crossing the Gras Plateau to reach Vallon Pont d’Arc where the Ardèche river has carved out the cliff, forming a grandiose natural arch over a hundred feet high. As we follow the path of the gorges we will make stop to admire the striking view of the Gorges. Rejoin the ship in Saint-Etienne-des-Sorts at 5pm. The ship departs at 6pm towards Viviers. Dinner on board before arriving in Viviers at 9.30pm.

Day 4
Viviers - Tain-L’Hermitage

Breakfast on board as the ship cruises early this morning. In the afternoon there is an optional excursion to Vercors. Travel by coach towards Die and pay a visit to a wine cellar to taste the famous Clairette de Die. Continue towards Vassieux-en-Vercors, the Vault in Vercors and the Pont-en-Royans. Rejoin the ship in Tain l'Hermitage. Dinner and gala evening before the ship sails back to Lyon.

Day 5
Tain-L’Hermitage - Lyon

Enjoy breakfast while cruising before arriving in Lyon in the morning at around 9am. Disembark.
