We offer a range of interesting shore excursions including a guided tour of Historic Rouen, with a visit to the old marketplace where Joan of Arc was burned, and Honfleur, a superb old fishing port city situated at the mouth of the Seine, which has barely changed since the 17th century. Or follow the ‘route des Abbayes’ with the ruins of the most beautiful French abbeys and romantic landscapes that captured the imagination of 19th century poets and artists. You may also choose to visit the chateau of Vascoeuil where art, history and nature come together in perfect harmony.

Day 1
Paris

Embark between 6 and 7pm in Paris. Enjoy and welcome drink in the lounge before dinner on board. This evening we depart to cruise through the marvelously illuminated Paris by night (water level permitting).

Day 2
Paris

Today we spend the whole day in France’s capital. We offer an optional half-day tour of the mythical sites of the city, including the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysées. Lunch on board followed by a free afternoon in Paris. Dinner on board. Spend the evening discovering Paris by night or join our optional cabaret evening excursion.

Day 3
Vernon

This morning we cruise towards Vernon, which we will reach at about 12:30 pm. Lunch on board. In the afternoon, there is an optional visit to the “Claude Monet” foundation at Giverny. The pink house with its green shutters, patiently restored, reveals aspects of the painter's daily life. As you wander round the house and gardens, you will see his huge studio, flooded with the light that he so cherished, the blue parlour, the yellow dining room, and especially the famous flower garden and the Japanese-inspired water garden. Back on board for dinner.Evening entertainment and we cruise towards Caudebec-en-Caux.

Day 4
Caudebec en Caux

We start cruising early in the morning, sailing through magnificent countryside alongside the steep cliffs, at whose feet stand charming typical villages. Lunch as we cruise. At about 1pm we arrive in Caudebec-en-Caux. There is an optional guided excursion “La route des Abbayes” (the Abbey Road). The visit will begin with the church at Caudebec-en-Caux, which dates back to the 15th century, then continue with Jumièges where we will see the ruins of one of the finest abbeys in France. It will also take you to St Peter's church, which is one of the most beautiful examples of 10th century architecture. Back on board at about 6pm. We dine on board as the ship departs for Honfleur (tide permitting).

Day 5
Honfleur

This morning after breakfast we offer you an an optional excursion along the “Côte Fleurie” (Flowered Coast). Here you will experience the beautiful landscapes of sandy beaches and low cliffs that captured the imagination of the poets and the painters of the 19th century. We will pass through Trouville and Deauville, stopping on the way to taste Calvados. Back on board for lunch. After lunch you may choose to take part in an optional guided tour of Honfleur. Situated at the foot of the coast of Grace, the appealing town offers delights such as St Catherine’s church built solely of wood, its old streets and its outer harbour with its charming fishing boats. Return on board for dinner, followed by a free evening in which you may like to discover Honfleur by night.

Day 6
Rouen

The ship departs early this morning, and we breakfast as we cruise through this superb valley whose variations in light inspired the Impressionist painters and poets. We will pass under the superb Normandy Bridge and lunch on board, before arriving in Rouen at about 2pm. This afternoon there will be an optional guided tour of Rouen, during which you will see, amongst other things, the Cathedral, the town's historic quarters, and the Old Market Place where Joan of Arc was burnt alive. Back on board for dinner and evening entertainment.

Day 7
Rouen - The Andelys

After breakfast, we depart towards Les Andelys, passing through the famous Amfreville lock. We will arrive at Les Andelys at about 12pm and lunch on board. In the afternoon, there is an optional visit of the Vascoeuil Castle, where - according to Jules Michelet - art, history and nature fuse in perfect harmony. Back on board for dinner, and a gala evening. Tonight we cruise during the night.

Day 8
Paris

Arrive in Paris at about 8am and disembark.
