Day 1
Amsterdam

Embark at 1pm in Amsterdam. Lunch on board. Free afternoon or optional city tour of Amsterdam by bus. Return on board for 6pm. This evening enjoy a welcome cocktail in the lounge, and meet the crew. Dinner on board followed by an optional sightseeing tour of Amsterdam by river boat.

Day 2
Amsterdam - Vollendam

Breakfast on board as the cruise begins on one of Holland's largest inland seas, the Ijsselmeer. Lunch on board and a visit to Vollendam, a port which specialises in eel fishing, at 1pm. In the 19th century, artists used to come here to paint everyday life scenes, coloured by traditional costumes. Optional sightseeing tour to Zaanse Schans, an outdoor museum: this village owns mills that are still working, houses of the 17th and the 18th century. Return on board around 6pm. Dinner and traditional Dutch evening.

Day 3
Vollendam - Hoorn

Breakfast as we cruise this morning. Optional coach tour to Alkmaar and a visit to its cheese museum, where cheese and butter are produced. Return on board at Volledam for lunch. We depart in the direction of Hoorn, a village which owes its wealth to the shipping trade and herring fishing. We stop of at Hoorn at 3pm, and here you will enjoy some time on your own. The original name of ?Cape Horn? came from a well-known sailor born in this town, who was the first navigator to explore the Southern Cape. Return on board. Dinner and evening with the crew.

Day 4
Hoorn - Enkhuisen

Breakfast on board. Morning cruise on the Ijsselmeer. Entertainment in the lounge, and lunch on board. We will pass alongside Lelystad, capital of Fleveland, owing its name to the engineer Lely who built the sea wall of the Ijsselmeer. We will pass through a lock to get over the sea wall and reach Enkhuisen. Return on board, dinner and gala evening.

Day 5
Enkhuisen - Amsterdam

Breakfast on board. Morning cruise towards Amsterdam. Lunch on board and arrive at Amsterdam around 2pm. Optional sightseeing tour to Keukenhof Floral Park. Return on board. Dinner and free evening in Amsterdam.

Day 6
Amsterdam

Disembark after breakfast, at about 9am.
